If the Democrats win the Senate, they won't block any potential SCOTUS candidates despite the precedent because, when push comes to shove, Chuck Schumer is utterly spineless.

Yes that was the point I was making, being born abroad isn't a disqualifier on it's own.

    Mamdani's mother didn't become a citizen until 2006

I hope he does walk away, I then hope Iran opens the strait to everyone except for American_Israeli ships or even ships heading to either of those countries

This is by far the worst scenario do you think the Republicans will suddenly start playing by the rules again? If you think it's a sh*tshow now see where we are after 7/8 more years of them ffs.

It's be a kicker if Cruz's claim of U.S citizenship and run for the GOP nomination is why Trump is pushing for a change in the understanding of the "born in the USA" wording in the constitution, to get his own back on Cruz and [maybe] Canada. Before anyone gets excited, I'm being tongue-in-cheek now.

The closure of Hormuz hits the US arguably less than Europe or the far East (at least the US does not have physical shortages). So Europe, and Asian countries should get together and negotiate a free passage through Hormuz with Iran, making it clear that they are not the enemy. At the same time European countries should all deny US use of bases for middle East operations. What are they afraid of? The US quitting NATO? Under the Orange Turd they have effectively quit anyhow, judging by the said Turd's behaviour.

The E.U. should scrap the sanctions on importing from Iran and let the U.S. fcuk off with their gas as well. When push comes to shove is Iran any worse than than the U.S. where Trump threatens to hold it to ransom over LNG if he doesn`t get his way or many of the Middle East states that are supplying the E.U.

”WE” must not lose sight that it is Trump and all of his ‘BLIND MICE’ that have this ‘ relationship’ with the RU /Ukr and the Iranian SMOs’ . When Trump is gone and let’s assume that the Demos are in power then I expect all of what is ‘NOT GOOD ‘ re climate change policy, the US economy, international relations, membership of international organisations, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. will be addressed .
The various redirections needed to stabilise things may take some time but one has to start somewhere

I doubt it'll come to that. Even if they won 51 seats (which I don't expect), one of them is Fetterman. Then they're down to 50 and Vance has the casting vote.

Nope. If the GOP win in 2028 I guarantee they will never give up power. I'm sceptical that it'll even happen in 2028 but by 2032 there'd have been almost a decade of fascism. You'd be looking at a civil war to reverse it, something that may happen anyway.

And totally off topic, Barron was born in 2005 and Mammy Melania did not become a citizen until 2006

AOC, a young latino women, with 'socialist' tendencies somewhere right of FF or FG, hasnt a hope of being president for 20y+, and america cops the hell on. It'll be no women/gays/non-whites on the ticket for a while unfortunately...

U.S politics is definitely weird. Mr William Forbes, a pastor and anti-abortionist, is [according to media reports] allegedly running as a Democrat for a Nebraska State senate seat. He claims that he is a lifelong Democrat, that he last supported a Demcrat president when JFK was in office and voted for Trump. It seems both Democrat and Republican parties are denying anything to do with Mr Forbes try for candidacy.

7/8 years of a horrible shitshow that finally opens the eyes of American people could lead to decades of prosperity afterwards.

Or I guess they could continue doing the same things over and over again, see if that works. Is there anything to be said for another mass?

France has joined Italy and Spain in denying use of its territory by U.S military aircraft connected to the U.S war efforts on Iran. Expect more damnations coming from the trump Admin team tonight, especially from Hegseth. Where the denial of airspace is concerned, the U.S has used non-military aircraft for the transfer of aid-in-kind to U.S military operations abroad, especially for Para-Military [deniable] operations. I expect the Irish Govt is hoping no one makes reference to Shannon airport in respect to U.S flights and the war on Iran.

Yep, our government will stay quiet on the issue.

It's a tough one to call, we have a lot of US companies here. We piss off the orange orangutan and he'll start throwing shyte at us.

The reporter who asked the question she referred to as Garrett. Peter from Fox News is presumably Doocey, who is another sycophant

Trump and MAGAs actions have gone beyond creating trade uncertainty and damaging economic growth and the world order. This second term is completely different to his first; he is surrounded by ardent loyalists, there are no guardrails. This will lead to WW3, MAGA is not something we just need to 'wait out',

as is I have no confidence whatsoever that the mid-terms will change anything because they either 1) wont go ahead, 2) will go ahead but be rigged or declared fraudulent if the Democrats win 3) will make no difference because Trump and the Executive branch will just openly break the law and nothing will stop them

Really diaappointing that the UK is not taking the same line as France, Italy and Spain, and that they have not had the courage to find an excuse to call off King Charles' State visit. I don't know who Starmer fears most: Trump, Farage, the Daily Mail or the Telegraph.

Ahhh good ole conspiracy theorist Alex Jones feeding the red meat to the masses,

Former Alex Jones employee says: 'It was nonsense, it was lies

At one point, Owens was dispatched to El Paso, Texas, because a conservative website had alleged that

ISIS had established a training base just across the border in Juarez, Mexico. Finding no evidence of ISIS, Owens says the Infowars team dressed a reporter up to look like an ISIS operative and filmed him crossing "the border" while holding a prop of a severed head. Except it wasn't actually the border.

He's clearly a GOP troll. The Dems are supporting an Independent called Dan Osborn who actually has a chance of flipping the seat. This pastor is just designed to cause confusion in a tight race. To complicate matters further, the Dems nominated another candidate to defeat Forbes in the primary and put him out of the race, and the GOP then tried to have her excluded as she admitted that if she won she would then withdraw and support Osborn. The last I heard the State Supreme Court had ordered her to be reinstated on the ballot.

Trump dearly loves his evangelical friends.

    https://us.cnn.com/2026/03/31/us/pastor-robert-morris-jail-release

Gateway Church was founded by Morris in 2000. He has been politically active and formerly served on President Donald Trump’s evangelical advisory board. The church hosted Trump on its Dallas campus in 2020 for a discussion on race relations and the economy.

A man pardoned by President Donald Trump for his actions on Jan. 6 has been sentenced for possessing more than 100,000 child sexual abuse images and videos discovered in connection with his Capitol riot case.

Daniel Tocci was sentenced to four years in prison by U.S. District Judge Mark G. Mastroianni of the District of Massachusetts after he pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, according to a Justice Department news release Monday that made no mention of the Jan. 6 link. Tocci had been set to go to trial in the Jan. 6 case early last year, but it was dismissed after Trump granted mass clemency to roughly 1,500 defendants tied to the attack on the Capitol.

Federal prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo in the child pornography case that, in addition to the child sex abuse material, Tocci's laptop "contained extremely disturbing images of violent acts, such as a cat being killed by being put in a blender, a male shooting a female in the head, a dog being beaten to death, and severed heads and limbs, as well as images and videos of bestiality.”

Before he pleaded guilty in September, Tocci's attorney had argued for the dismissal of the child sexual abuse material case because “all the evidence" stemmed from the pardoned Jan. 6 case.

"The case against Mr. Tocci must be dismissed because the entirety of the evidence stems from a warrant that, according to President Trump, should never have issued," Tocci's attorney wrote in July. "President Trump recognized the ongoing nature of the injustice against Mr. Tocci, as the investigation took place over the course of four years, and the instant case is still being prosecuted."

The Justice Department did not respond to the motion before Tocci's attorney withdrew it ahead of a plea hearing.

During Trump's second term, the Justice Department has taken different approaches to whether evidence seized in the course of Jan. 6 investigations can be used to prosecute other crimes, arguing that gun crime cases should be dismissed but not child pornography cases like Tocci's. Last year, Trump re-pardoned Jan. 6 defendant Dan Wilson over a gun case that stemmed from his Capitol siege case.

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/31/trump-presidential-library-plans-miami-ridicule

"A 1 minute 40 second video tour of the proposed gargantuan structure revealed it will be decked, almost inevitably, in Trump’s trademark gold, including a giant statue of him, and will feature Air Force One, the $400m Boeing “flying palace” gifted to him by Qatar, in its cavernous lobby".

After all the adverse publicity about this jet and Trump's acceptance of it as a gift, with experts saying it would cost 3/400m to get it up to latest AF1 spec, he is now going to put it in the flippin lobby something sounds/looks very odd about this.

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

So on a world stage, Americas name is MUD.

If Trump wants to give Russia and Putin a blowjob, (and sorry mods I don’t give a fck if I get banned for saying that) - so be it.

No doubt Putin has enough venereal diseases to infect both Trump and America for decades to come. It’s fitting given Trumps sexual history anyway so we shouldn’t be surprised

The pardoning of those people will 100% go down as one of the most disgusting things a US president has ever done. It was truly beyond belief that that ever happened.
