Incorrect export units (CEG) , March 2026 bill

Hi there solar panel owner, I received the March bill from Flogas and compared the export figures on the bill to the measured export from my energy monitoring devices. The bill shows about 40% lower export units than what I actually exported. I used 3 different energy monitoring devices which all measured within 1%.

I’ve contacted Flogas and am waiting for a response. ESB Networks referred me to Flogas for further discussion. The import units on the bill appear to be correct for the period.

ESB has acknowledged an issue with their system that caused inaccurate data calculations on their side see that news article. It’s possible the problem lies with Flogas, but it’s strange that they listed export credits, just with incorrect values. https://www.corkbeo.ie/news/local-news/esb-issues-update-after-thousands-33678388

I’d recommend everyone compare the export units on your bill with the corresponding figures from your solar monitoring apps for the same time period. I never thought past exports could be incorrect, but here we are.

If anyone else can check and confirm whether your export figures via your app line up with your provider’s data, it might help us understand how widespread this issue is. I’ll keep this thread updated with any new information from my side.

What's the date period of the bill?

It is likely the export from the 5th of march is missing. It is likely it will be there in the next bill.

Hi Graeme, thanks for the reply.

Billing period date (export date explicitly stated for the same date range): 20/01/2026–20/03/2026

Hopefully will be and this a issue on Flogas side.

How does your export look if yo got your March bill is the export accurate

With energia, still haven't got the bill yet.

Parents are with flogas on a smart plan and get a monthly bill now. Will keep an eye on it.

When fit first came out there was teething issues but it eventually got paid (even some from after I switched supplier too)

I still didn't get the March bill from Flogas yet, but looking at the reports from the "My Reports" menu the numbers for imports are completely non sense, pretty much 100% above the numbers I have logged from my inverter.

Update. For me the reading date ESB sent to Flogas lines up will the dates on the billing, so export units may not have been up to date when sent to Flogas, that would be my best assumption. If anyone else sees the same discrepancy, the process is to follow up with your provider, they can contact the relevant ESB department to review and they can request a new reading pull from the smart meter.

As Graeme said likely the missing credit will show up on the next bill. Worth keep an eye on the export over the year

Mines (23/1/26-26/3/26) export is within the expected margin of error of measurement (about 1%)

Mt bill received today for period 22 Jan to 24 match had about 93units export credit. According to mysigen app I exported approx 240 for the period. Contacted provider (flogas) and it's with their micro generation team now

Just received our latest Energia Bill and the figures seem to stack up for import and export compared to the measured data I have

Just seeing this from my Flogas customer account:

My billing period was supposed to close on 16th March.

Got the house Energia bill today and the export is actually slightly more than what HA is telling me so that's a nice suprise.

ESBN still shows no data from 5th March so either Energia guesstimated or Networks are sending data to the suppliers but not updating the customer portal?
