Absolutely and totally correct. Too many people out there doing a job that's either killing them, or they hate, or both.

A job you enjoy, that pays the bills, and that you're good at. And that doesn't negatively impact society.

There's a Japanese concept called Ikigai https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikigai which is the feeling you get when you are doing something that (1) you love, (2) that you are good at, (3) that pays you, and (4) is good for the world. It's like the state of nirvana, basically impossible to actually achieve all of them but a noble goal.

I think if you have a job where you have three of those you could describe yourself as having a great job, even two is good and puts you above most of the people dragging themselves out of bed on a Monday morning.

    It's subjective.

There's probably good jobs and fulfilling jobs, some might be both.

My dad was a teacher, he died recently and the amount of good words we heard regarding his career was unbelievable. He impacted so many lives. I, however, have a decent office job that is in no way fulfilling and doesn't impact anybody's life apart from the big bad multinational bottom line. It's hard to pretend I care about what I do because I don't! Meetings, agile, annual reviews and bell curves, false wellness initiatives. It's all h0rsesh!t. So while it may be a good job, it's not a fulfilling job. It does allow me to live a nice life and to fulfil other hobbies, passions and goals so it does balance out.

For me, a good job is a place where I receive a salary that matches my efforts and skills. It’s also very important that the workplace has a positive atmosphere and that there’s no unhealthy competition or foolish behavior from colleagues. Now I realize that I have a pretty good company that cares about its employees, and I’m not even thinking about quitting

Any job where you don’t deal with people all day long every day. I feel sorry for anyone working in a call centre dealing with complaints/assholes every day.
