Depressing song to start things off and audience sound like they are at a funeral.

Still more uplifting than the old Funny Fridays.

"We couldn't keep the foot on the throat".... Strange.

Nothing you wouldn't see in the Dublin inner city of a sunny afternoon

Still no room for the Liveline team in the Irish Times bar 🙄

Broadcasting from the Golden trouser snake restaurant again today

The fact that we would have to beat Denmark to qualify had we won in Prague is skipped over in almost every report 🤔

I listened to the latest episode of Ray D'Arcy Daly and turn back to hear a lad singing a bad rendition of Country Road... Ray still has his confused fascination with clocks changing!

One thing is certain about this game, RTE absolutely blew the ärse out of it with way over the top coverage.

Every well known ligger in the station appeared at some stage. Some of them not part of the sports dept.

God knows how many were there that we never heard about on the coverage.

Cadburys didn’t help. I listened to done RTE live on TuneIn during the week and every bloody time there was some ad about Cadburys going green to support the team. What really got me was a piece saying something like “Let’s all show our support at this crucial time!” Crucial tine? It’s a bunch of lads and lassies kicking a ball around a pitch for 90 minutes with no realistic hope of getting to a championship of any sort! If the Yanks, Israelis, Iranians or Russians were firing missiles at us that were landing then, yes, this would be a crucial time and if you’re buying fuel it is too but soccer… feck right off with your “crucial time” bollix. Maybe start making decent chocolate again. How about that?

The New Lad, back from his enjoyment of Mondelez's Corporate Box in Prague.

    • Boxroom to the back garden: Beds in sheds. 14 Grand Tax Free. 40SQM. How are 'they' going to manage all this? Are you for or against?
    • Gubberment not hitting housing ever changing targets. Sez Collum.
    • Honey Park: Antisocial behavior in Sallynoggin. New inhabitants/Irish upset, as they thought they were living in the posh Monkstown/Dun Laoghaire area.
    • The Donald: Doing a deal as he just wants the Oil.
