Windows/doors grant without increasing insulation

I have a duplex townhouse holiday home. I'm getting triple glazed doors and windows in the next few months.

The attic is already floored and has 150mm fibreglass in the joists underneath the boards. Probably U-value of about 0.35 approx.

The cavity walls have full fill eps insulation. Probably U-value of about 0.36 approx.

I cannot externally insulate the walls as I have a stone front matching all the other properties in the complex. I could use insulated plasterboard on the inside of the front wall.

The rear wall has a newly installed fitted kitchen attached to it, so doing it on that wall is out of the question.

Can I get the windows and doors grant without doing other work to the house?

If not, what would I have to do to bring it up to the necessary specs?

    Thanks in advance.

In order to get the grant your Heat Loss Indicator (HLI) will need to be 2.3 or less after the windows are installed. The only way of knowing if this will be the case is the have an assessment done first. Not a full BER.

I am looking for an assessment in Dublin 15 for a house( in an 30 year established estate) with no BER cert on the house.. I ONLY want to apply for the windows / doors grant.. not interested in the

    Solar / heat pump etc..

I have looked up the SEAI list of assessors and they seem to be "full service " looking at the whole system solar wrap around etc etc… I am looking for a very competent assessor that can guide me right through the process, and has experience of applying for grants an knows the "ins and outs" and could do with it as soon as possible.,.

I have now ordered windows and door from an "approved installer" can anyone suggest / recommend or PM me with assessor candidates.. so I can get the ball rolling… Thanks ..

Look up the list of Technical assessors in Dublin on the SEAI website. Any of them should calculate the HLI for you without incurring the cost of a full BER. It's up to yourself to apply for the grant and all the details are fully explained on the SEAI website.

Thank you.. not 100% sure what you mean but sure that assessor can advise.. I do NOT have a BER as I purchased from new 30 years ago.. I guess I am looking for and willing to pay for a "turbo assessor" that can quickly get my clueless self up to speed and be able to make specific recommendations- if needed to comply.. and I need it done ASAP as installation date is before st Patrick's day.. so if anyone know of such a "turbo assessor" from anywhere, but from Dublin 15 - would be ideal, I would really appreciate a PM.. !

got a quote 12 months ago for a 4 bed detached dormer bungalow for 15k for doors and windows . Got an updated quote from same company for 21k this week . Got similar quotes from other companies lately . It’s obvious a lot of window and doors companies are just adding the price of the windows and doors grants to the quotes

I've read of this happening to other applicants as well.

    Scandalous.
