Absolutely robbery. I bit the bullet yesterday. Got a ticket for me and 2 for the kids for 135 euro, which seems fine, until you see where they are. Not quite behind the goal but to the side and behind the glass. But any other ticket available yesterday was stupid money and coming up from West of Ireland with 2 kids is going to be expensive enough as it is, nevermind 2 days holidays 🙈. Anyway, it is what it is.

Where do you guys stay when you do an over nighter in London? Fulham game is now at 5:30 and hubby is going with the boys, so they have to stay over night now! Somewhere relatively near the stadium? Cheap?

Premier Inn Tottenham Hale is usually a decent price. It's right next to a underground that goes direct to the Finsbury Park on the Victoria line which is a short walk to the stadium then.

Alternatively if your budget stretches to it, stay in around Kings Cross / Euston which is just a few stops on the Piccadilly line from the Arsenal stop.

If they can get their head around the Underground the whole city is open to them really.

I usually stay in Camden as it's got a few things to do in the area and it's a short Tube/Uber ride from the stadium

Bermondsey square hotel, two tube changes but there in less than half an hour. Hotel is in a nice area and there’s loads of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops around it

opinions please. I see the Ryanair flight from Stanstead is a 10 pm flight, could they make that comfortable enough after a 5:30 kick off?

Personally I think no. The only way it would be possible would be to have a pre-arranged lift ready to bring you straight and even that is tight.

that’s too tight for time in my opinion, I wouldn’t chance it because I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the game

I'm sure people have seen the footage of him leaving wearing a leg brace by now. Hopefully not as bad as it looks.

Not really comfortable. I've done it after a 3pm kick off easily but 5.30 would be really tight. Last time I was over I stayed in a small hotel near Kings Cross but I can't recall the name.

Any game with a ko after 3pm you really need to stay over imo. Especially if travelling with kids, I've stayed in a few different areas but kings Cross most recently. If happy enough you wont get lost on the tube afterwards there's no shortage of reasonable hotels. I prefer one that gives me the handiest access to whatever airport im using the next day though.

Checked again there and saw tickets in the upper tier corner (opposite side to your seats) for €56 all in. So fúck it, picked up two. I haven't been to London to see Arsenal since 2018 and can't see myself going again anytime soon, I can get on the dart and be home from the game in 45 minutes so a bit more convenient than staying in London or rushing back to Gatwick/Stansted.

Last game I went to was Aubameyang's debut against Everton, February 2018.

So after a recommendation from a friend, they’re staying in a hotel not far from the 7 sisters road and about a 40 minute walk to Tottenham Hale station and they’ll get an early flight home. The eldest lad has a match Sunday that he really wants to play. Not sure how conditioned he’ll be to play. Either way, this is costing as much as the AVIVA trip! 😃

Loaded, we are! Ah look it, they have a lot to put up with in our family life, it’s great to spoil them every now and then!

And one last question, our youngest boy will be 13 when there, would there be any issue with him being in a pub during day time? Is it like here?

Thanks everybody for all the advice and tips!

In my experience, during day time he'd be fine, even in the evening he'd be fine as long as he's with an adult.

Also to echo others, 10pm is far too tight for an evening kickoff in my opinion, unless you plan on leaving the game early, so ye've made the right choice there. Hope they enjoy

I see the vast majority of our players have pulled out of the internationals through quote unquote injury, including Zubimendi and Hincapie today. I assume none are serious apart from potentially Madueke

It's an absolutely farcical time of year to have any friendlies, given the amount of football these players have played, and the fact there is a World Cup coming.

Clubs who are still fighting for trophies would be negligent if they didn't put pressure on players to come back to base for even the slightest niggle.

So what do we think is injury situation?

Merino possibly done for season but go to half his eye on making it back before end with WC in mind.

Eze out currently and rumoured maybe to be back for City

Madueke seen wearing a knee brace after game

Hincapie went off limping after pulling up

Timber not played for a few games

    Odegaard hopefully back

Saliba been carrying an ankle injury but hopefully ok

Zubimendi wearing a knee brace before being pulled out

Rice, Saka, Gabriel, Trossard kept back/sent back hopefully to rest up.

Does seem that there is a general split between 2 groups and all players back are in group 1.

    1. Guaranteed being in squad for summer and playing just friendlies
    2. The rest

Was Zubimendi wearing a knee brace?

Madueke's injury is apparently minor according to the Athletic. Sounds like he could be back for Bournemouth

Very interesting read! Arsenal and Tottenham are the only two Premier League clubs who haven't played on a Monday or Friday so far this season.

So big Vik sends Sweden to the world cup finals.

    Delighted for him.

I think most of our players receiving '' injuries '' lately is Arteta getting wise.

There was an official comment from England about Rice and Saka not being fit too though. Hopefully your comment is correct TL!

Tonight's game is live on BBC One, 8PM Kick Off. It's a double header for them with Chelsea vs Port Vale on before it. (5:15PM)

Hopefully this isn't considered doxxing, but we've lost a fellow Gunner and a brilliant contributor to this thread and the forum as a whole. A gentleman who was always reasonable and balanced in his views.

It would be nice to see Slot getting a few more seasons with Liverpool. The Two CB's kept for a few more years too.
