The BBC on Demand option ( limited as it was ) seems to have been removed from both SkyQ and Stream, does anyone know what's going on ? I wonder in hope, is there a better BBC on Demand option coming or is it more likely that the BBC have pulled it from Sky altogether, just like the pulled recording from the other Irish pay TV operators ?

It's still on Sky+HD. Hopefully it's just a glitch or an upgrade.

Yes it's strange. Something does seem to be missing from the menus (on Q). The tile is still there on sky go and stuff from up to yesterday at least is there. EastEnders as an example.

Another downside to sky stream it seems. Meanwhile sky+ and Q users still have access to their recorded BBC content

The BBC section is available on Sky Stream anyway. The same restricted choices as always. I'd only ever use it for MOTD.

Has it returned ? It wasn't there this morning on Sky Stream, disappeared last weekend, I'm not at home to check .

Just checked our Sky Q. BBC on Demand is there. There is also a new section that just says BBC but there is nothing in it

I just noticed on my sky q box that they have now removed Discovery Channel+1 (225) ..

    ..

    I just came across this...

    ..

As of April 1, 2026, Sky has permanently removed Discovery+1 (and several other "+1" channels) from its channel lineup, specifically in the Republic of Ireland (ROI). Other associated channels, including Animal Planet+1, Discovery History+1, and DMAX+1, were also affected in the same region.

    Impacted Channels (ROI): Discovery+1 (225), Discovery History+1 (272), Discovery Turbo+1 (262), DMAX+1 (259), Animal Planet+1 (275), and more.
Reasoning: These closures are part of a wider Sky TV shake-up, reflecting a shift toward on-demand streaming services rather than linear time-shift channels.
Alternatives: Customers can access content from these channels via the on-demand Discovery+ app.

These changes followed several other channel rebrandings and removals, including the closure of Quest SD in April 2026

Someone already posted about this. Also is that content AI generated? If it is, please say so, if not please link to the source.

I didn't see another post about it..

And yes, it is an AI generated post via a Google search.

    I do apologise.
