Car passed NCT on 7 March. It is not 10 years old until 24 March. I was expecting a 2 year cert. I was given a 1 year cert. I questioned it at the counter and was told to contact customer service. An email to customer service was not answered. I phoned and was told it would have to be tested 90 days early. This is not what legislation says. Has anyone had this experience?

If you got the car tested before Christmas eve 2025, you would have gotten the full 2 years

Quick query. Passed he NCT recently. They just put an advisory tick re one of the tyres saying it was four years old. (I had that tyre changed last year due to a bad puncture)

NCT due in two years time now. When they mention 'advisory' does that mean that whatever they advise (in this case my tyre) should be done or you will not pass the next NCT?
