It's about as reliable as diesel cars can get anyway. I imagine being 2016 it could be a Euro 6 rather than Euro 5 which isn't ideal.

A good friend of mine has one now for a few years. It's an auto box as well. Drives great. Only issue was an injector failed last year and the upstream pressure sensor pipe clogged and was easily resolved. These two particular faults are known with that engine, and apart from that, they're fine.

I've 2015 Captur 1.5 diesel. Been fairly reliable driving wise since I got it but a few small niggles:

Stop/start seems to choose when it will or won't work. In really cold weather might take a couple of goes to start. Could be just me but the key cards seem flimsy already had to replace one.

Great cars, however once passed a certain age, over 10 years, electrical problems seems to occur. Non starting problems, lights in the dashboard.I will not buy another Renault again.

What year Renault did you have? I thought the famous electrical issues were a thing of the past.
