At Undertones in the tent a couple of years ago, there were four unattended chairs sitting in a row near the front. I almost fell over them on my way to the front. Folded a couple up and set them over to the side out of the way. Some people are dícks.

We must have been in close proximity! Stage right? As in the left side of the stage is you look at it? There couldn't have been another set of them surely?

The Lemonheads have cancelled their European tour.

Let's face it, Evan Dando was never getting to Emo and back in one piece. This is in everyone's interest as now a decent alternative can be found rather than pulling a fast one on the day!

I’m gutted but we knew this was going to happen. My worry was he wouldn’t turn up on the day or be so wasted it would ruin my memories if the lemon heads. There was a glimmer of hope he would perform and be amazing but I guess we will never know

The man is his own worst enemy at this point and I don't see it getting better.

    It's a shame about Evan.

I've just gone and done a complete 180 on this and pulled the trigger on a couple of tickets and campervan pass. A big factor in my change of heart was the fear of missing out on Sultans of Ping. FF socials saying 95% sold out whether that's true or not I don't know. Anyway, I may get back in training for another two festivals in two weeks. 🤭

    Sounds ropey enough...

announcement imminnent, The specials ltd commented on the post saying they’d see them at 6pm on a Sunday, which is probably their time slot, unless they’ve accidentally leaked the announcement time, but unlikely

Did it sell out last year?

Don't think so. I do wonder how easily they'll replace two of their mid level attractions, I know they've still got a few months to go but a lot of acts will have their summer plans sorted already.

Who are the 2 that pulled out, I know the Lemonheads are one, who's the other?

    Ah, missed that one, thanks.

Matt Berninger could be a good shout. He announced a gig in Kilkenny earlier today, that is a couple of days before FF.

Wha? This is a festival aimed at the grey pubed of the world and they're not booking acts of that level. Might want to seriously lower your expectations, a nick kershaw or similar type thing.

I'd love to see the Wildhearts added, especially given their recent news. A chance to see them off.

Looking at the Selecter tour dates they only have Brighton down for Thursday 23rd July listed then their next date is Norwich 23rd August, they would be a perfect replacement for the Bad Manners slot.

Haha! I get your response if I said The National, but Matt solo is much lesser deal and surely a possibility. I think he'd fit the vibe well.

I bought a day ticket for Saturday on the day before when I saw the weather was going to be great.

I'd be planning on doing the same this year presuming there are day tickets available.

I've no idea what weekend tickets are like.

It's a legacy act (for the most part) festival, cannot see it happening or them even attempting it.

Edit: Engine Alley are supporting him, they'd be grand though.

Saw them at Mandela Hall last year, been atleast a decade…, had actually mainly gone to see [spunge] for my misspent yoof, but anyway...Pauline Black has mad good stage presence to this day.
