Jobseekers benefits

    Can anyone tell me if I’m entitled to jobseekers benefits if I have deferred my state pension and still working,but get laid of couple of times a year,can I claim jobseekers benefits while laid off😳

    You'll need a letter outlining when the layoff dates are and when you last of got paid.

    Apply for jobseekers and also supplementary welfare allowance which will bridge the gap until jobseekers is paid. You'll need 3 months bank statements for SWA application as well

    no. Jobseekers Benefit ends at 66.
    On the subject of your having deffered your pension, you realise that you can work and get your pension at the same time?

    Have you calculated how many years you will have to be on pension (even at the increased rate) to make up the €17000 you have lost this year alone?
