Im not an expert but if Networks have reading up to the 5th and get readings for say today, presumably as you suggest the consumption is easily figured out.Nothing new on my Networks account though I was told my some one in a major Supplier that they expected amended readings to come across today obviously probably not for all accounts immediately

There's still issues with the data issued by Networks yesterday. It's really screwed up the wholesale settlement process

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭shoegirl

Absolutely stunned me that this data was allowed to go to public consumption for so long without rolling back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭shoegirl

Yes, that was the first thing I did and was happy to see it showed expected readings instead of the insane stuff ESB Networks online showed

It's a reading data recording error (basically using watt instead of kilowatts values). Not a meter effort. Your meter will still have correct cumulative data. I don't know how many days data it stores for incremental readings

Has anyone's Network account been "corrected/updated at this stage?

    Just the bad data removed

Interesting, today my solar is flying so getting the FIT up and running will be important

As far as I can tell there was never an issue with the FIT calculations. Only the import data, which now seems to be showing the correct reading also as of this morning

I'm with EI and all corrected up to 11 March now. Back to normal hopefully.

I am with EI and still no update

Is this data issue still ongoing?

I've just checked my ESBN account and nothing recorded for either import or export since Mar 5th!

It's gonna take a while for everything to catch up.

    It will catch up, eventually.

just checked esb networks and my export hasn’t been updated since the 6th of March. Let’s hope they sort it out by the end of the month.

Agreed, I can only imagine the headache that is for IT to try and figure out how to retrospectively correct it all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,176 ✭✭✭✭Heroditas

They're applying manual corrections to a lot of the data.

My ESB networks data is still stuck on march 5th but Pinergy seems to be getting data from somewhere as they are showing my usage for the past few days. It doesn't seem correct though as it's not matching to my PV system data

I think this is going to be interesting , how they figure out what the various Solar Apps say vrs what the amended /reinputted data says. There should be only very small differences but I suspect many will be watching closely

Bord Gais Energy still not showing either.

Are bills issuing? I presume they must be but the "correction" is taking a long time

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators Posts: 7,609 Mod ✭✭✭✭graememk

Bills aren't generally until the end of the month.

Bills would likely be delayed then too if waiting on data.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭discostu1

Bills or at least when I was involved run on a 60 to 66 day cycle ( for the majority of Bi mensal billed customers) so My bills issue usually mid month or 23ish at the latest. Monthly bill can look for a fixed date

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,108 ✭✭✭✭ted1

my bills are monthly and run from 16th to 15th. Generally issued in the 17th. Paymemt due on the 1st

    I’m with electric Ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭discostu1

Monthly Bills in general were issued around Mid month. From memory, customer could look for a fixed payment date . With the exception of Pre pay bills most, not all are on the 60 /66 day cycle. This was as much a historic thing due to meter readers getting the readings in. With Smart you in theory can issue weekly/ monthly bills ......At the moment Im not convinced there isn't a bigger issue as its certainly taking longer than I would have thought it should

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators Posts: 7,609 Mod ✭✭✭✭graememk

If monthly bills are issued mid month, would it cover Feb or mid Feb to mid march? If its just the Feb this error won't be in it.

To me, it's not taking longer than I'd think it would take, it's gonna take a while for the data to be shown as they don't want the media storm of getting it wrong again.

And it's a known issue for one day. Easier to delay a bill than put out bad bill.

    I hope your right

Yuno hasn’t updated since March 5th, I know what I’m consuming as I too have solar, Yuno have stated they won’t issue bills until it’s all corrected, does the fact that a lot of consumers are also on time of use contracts complicate it a bit more?

Pinergy app is showing usage for the last few days. The overall usage is not a million miles off what my system is showing. But the time of use is way off. 99% of my usage is during the EV period whereas as pinergy are showing usage throughout the day.

I'll wait until the ESB networks data starts showing again before querying with Pinergy.
