Did that not happen last year where he spent 40 minutes dancing while they were being treated…or has it happened again?

Trump held a rally in Kentucky tonight, trying to drum up support to get rid of Massie. He declared victory 5 times in Iran conflict.

    Meanwhile in Straits of Hormuz

2 tankers up in flames, the sort of spectacle News channels love; and which Hegseth and Trump revel in. Oil prices already on the way up, as obviously the Straits are very much closed.

And Trump's 12 day war, ain't ending no matter how many times he claims victory.

Edit - 1 of the tanker Seasafe Vishnu is American owned (other is Greek)

On no, what would Paris, London, Rome etc. be like in summer without megaphone American accents!

As expected this is turning into a mess for Trump.

Iran are not backing down and can continue to cause chaos for the global market.

Iran is practicing economic warfare to make up for its disadvantage in arms. Also Iranian drones keep reaching their targets. Drones can cost $17,000. US Reaper drones cost $100 million for a full system.

Trump is delusional when he says he doesn't believe Iran has mined the Strait of Hormuz. Also when he claims to have sunk the Iranian navy. If that is true why did US sources tell media they have seen indications Iran has started mining the Strait. I think Trump suffers from hubris, and while the US has the theoretical advantage, incompetent leadership can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Meidas reporting that Hegseth has banned certain photographers from the Pentagon who took photos of him he doesn't like.

Hubris is an understatement, here's what The White House posted last night, as oil surged again after tanker attacks.

    Economic warfare works.

If they struck the US in any way, Pedolf Shitler will use that as an excuse to go all out and hope the Americans are thick enough to focus on that - as opposed to why they are in the mess in the first place.

I wouldn't put a false flag past them at this stage

The best part about the Cletus farmer folk who voted for Trump - isn't even that they are now begging for Trump to save them.

Its the fact 95% of those morons would still vote for Trumpy tomorrow because he "really cares" about them.

The recent reports of the possibility of Iran putting a ship loaded with drones off the coast of California to bomb California reeks of false flag. They must think that we're all braindead.

It's not near enough of a mess for Trump.....its a mess for everyone else that has to live with the consequences of his disastrous retarded decisions and that of his dimwit lackeys

They think the people that voted for them are crucially just a little bit more braindead than they are

    And

    1. They appear to be correct
    2. That's all that matters to the misguided idiotic low IQ loons

Trumps smartest political move since his first campaign started was targeting the stupidest fùcks to create his loyal base.

Getting people on board by making controversial topics a huge election issue - abortion, transexuals, immigration etc etc.

All to get as much power as possible. It worked. And they have it until November at least.

It has shown that peoples can mass manipulated quite easily using social media. Trump x 2 and Brexit being some fine examples.

What's even funnier is that if Trump were to suddenly die I'm pretty sure at the next election there'll be loads of spoiled ballots inscribed with Trump #1.

He's given every racist and rapy type permission to live out load and some people will never get back in their box after he's gone.

So just like in the gulf the disturbance will rumble on domestically long after he's gone.

Not at all sure that will work though. The 'right wing populist' movements in Europe are starting to distance themselves from Trump, as he is beginning to look like a serious electoral liability. Rabbiting on about inconsequential 'culture war' stuff like trans rights amid a global war and falling standards of living is hardly going to wash.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭yagan

    @Strazdas

If Trump announced today that washing windows was woke and gay his followers would agree and never wash their windows again. They've surrendered personal responsibility and are happy in their own filth.

…They were drinking bleach and taking de-wormer because Trump hinted it might help with covid… at least the de-wormer is a proper medicine and given the state of food hygiene in the States a lot of them might need it.

He has made sex trafficking, insider trading, racism, commiting war crimes, lying, Russian agression and any rightwing lawlessness more acceptable

No other president has achieved this and honoured with a FIFA peace award

Yep I'm finding it fascinating to watch people who are Trump fans becoming sudden advocates of women's rights as a result of the Iran invasion. (Iran is obviously atrocious for them) They never really seemed to mind the fact the US president is a rapist and his complete disregard for women. Or the fact the GOP has a goal of dismantling the rights of women.

    You are half right.

Nonsense or minor issue dominate the politics for two main reason.

    1. The corporate control of USA politics through the Super PAC system. The donors decide on what can be discussed by politicians; which makes reform in taxation, health care costs, pharma costs, crypto regulation, education costs, regulation of tech oligarchs are effectively of limits. Its why Sanders or Cenk Uygur, who had lots of ideas and policies to help ordinary americans never had a chance for nomination. The wealth shift between late 1970's and today, which has killed the American dream for most, can therefore never ben discussed not to mind fixed.
    2. The brain dead primary system (the only democracy which uses such a system) which sees the wing nuts endorsed on left and right which drives polarisation which today is as bad as it has ever been. None of us would know what QAnon for example was without this system

The battleground is for a small number of voters; if real issues were in play that number would be much bigger.

I see Trump gave Jake Paul his full endorsement for when he runs for political office. He must now be brain damaged enough after Antony Joshua.

From most things good can come. With luck, Trumps mishandling of the war he started causes the people on Capitol Hill gathered strength to move more War Powers Act votes against him, NOT because he didn't ask them for the power but because he, and his Secretary for War, have made such a **** up of the job and the power of the offices they hold that it is expedient for Capitol Hill to rein him in. Make unintended consequences the bane of his life…

Just shows how incompetent and unqualified Trump and all his 'administration' really are. This war is really beginning to expose their lack of skills and the mounting costs are staggering from what I've been reading so far.

One gets the feeling that something has to give shortly and I'd imagine some sort of face-saving scenario to withdraw from this debacle is being cooked up as the world watches on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,915 ✭✭✭✭Water John

How can he withdraw while Bibi wants to keep going?

As has been pointed out on the thread, when US went into Iraq second time around there was preparation, groundwork laid, some sort of coalition built, some capable people in the administration… and it still turned into a quagmire.
    Ditto for Afghanistan.

This time around there is none of that and Iran is much bigger than Afghanistan and tougher terrain than Iraq.

He keeps calling it an excursion. Is this what the remnants of his brain confusing it with incursion? In the same way he talked about people coming from asylums, as opposed to seeking asylum

I don’t know if it’s just the angle of the media I’m seeing in the UK but it sounds like Farage has it in the bag on their next time around. Seems like this still has some way to go.
