A few quick reminders for Cheltenham....

No more sleeps.... Cheltenham is almost here!!!!! :eek:

And while we're all looking forward to the big cheer as the flag drops for the first race, can everybody please keep a few points in mind when posting over the next few days.....

1. Don't aftertime! I don't think any explanation is needed here - it's annoying for everyone.

2. Don't insult other users. If you've an issue with a post then report it and let the mods deal with it. Don't take matters into your own hands. And by reporting the post, it will be brought to the mod's attention.

3. Most importantly of all - enjoy the next few days!

A few rules that have helped me over the years at Cheltenham, only consider lto winners in all the non handicaps,pay attention to horses with course form,do not take too short a price no matter how much you fancy one,do not worry about letting a race go without having a bet,forget about patriotism,take almost all tips with a pinch of salt,timeform ratings do much better than tips available to most of us.Pay attention to horses priced up at between 6 and 12 to 1.Keep the results section of the racing post,note the comments of the race readers (they will see a lot more than we will ever see) and write down the names of horses who appear to have been unlucky when finishing 5th 6th 7th or fairly close up having been interfered with or making a bad mistake at the last or 2nd last.It may seem common sense but we all forget to do sensible things when punting at big meetings and yes i break all the self imposed rules but if i remember to keep some of them it saves me money.We dont do this for a living so enjoy it and by being practical and realistic we have a better chance of enjoying it a bit more.Best of luck to all.

Races really competitive today all the big ones seem to have a few real contenders so no real banker hotpot I just can't make my mind up on them ,good luck to all the punters think you'll need it .

Vanderpoel 4.40 to add to the 3 already selected,trainer has another with a chance in the race but i presume Ben Jones (has ridden both) had the choice and Vanderpoel looks an improving type to add to those already selected Ballyfad 1.20 The Goffer 3.20 and Quilixios 4.oc has the making of a nice ew lucky 15 with lots of extra places and the usual single bets as well so hoping for a second profitable day.
