A reminder that based on Twitter posts, the handheld units can detect speeding up to at least 900m and presumably beyond. And that this https://maps.app.goo.gl/d9ixuJDntxm9Ctmj9 is a favoured location of AGS in unmarked (red) cars to detect speeding on the 1.6km, 2 lane straight, on the Waterford bypass.

How long does it take the guards with a laser gun to send out the speeding fine? Asking for a friend :)

Was travelling over the Sally Gap yesterday afternoon, a wet, windy, misty day, and right at the top, sneakily parked in a dip in the road, was a gosafe van. Hardly a major speeding spot, I would have thought. The middle of nowhere in fact, and a narrow, bumpy road along the side of a mountain.

I thought they were only supposed to be deployed in major speeding blackspots ?
