Anyone know what's up with Archie Ryan? He was on the provisional startlists for the French races at the weekend but didn't appear in the end. The vast majority of WT riders have started their season by now…

Rory Townsend fractured tibia in one of the big crashes yesterday “out for a while” according to his insta

Lara Gillespie and nine others are 1:45 up the road in the Beobank Samyn Ladies, with ~ 30 km to go.

Race is on circuits, think the break got away with about 65km to go.

I meant more if there was echelons or bad weather/cobbles/crashes at play, Gillespie is probably 2nd favourite today, how did she and a teammate get in a break of 10 that are going to contest the win? Would have thought Kool & team would have shut it down.

Just turned it on there, weather looks fine!

Break has over two minutes now, with 18 km to go, but they are starting to mess around. Lara just siting in on the back of the break, Backstedt trying to keep everyone else riding through

Gillespie playing a dangerous game hanging at the back

Neither Liv rider is really a sprinter so trying to put Gillespie under pressure on the drags. Unfortunately for Lara, Backstedt is paying the price for her work earlier

    Backstedt played an absolute blinder

Lara knew she was the fastest and blew them away. Super win

Also it’s not unusual in the women’s races that the strongest find themselves in small groups. Wiebes is obviously the best sprinter but she often wins in small select groups too.

Except the one she DNFed which she wasn't team leader for anyway.

Jamie Meehan and Darren Rafferty in action today in the Trofeo Laigueglia

Forecast looking decent for the Strade Bianchi on Saturday - sunny, light winds and temps in the mid teens

Healy confirmed for Strade Bianche, the only Irish representation.

Seixas confirmed as well, vs Pog, Del Toro, Pidcock and the rest. Let the hype train commence!

Looks like Eddie Dunbar is doing Paris Nice which starts on Sunday. Ryan Mullen is confirmed there

Healy has as good a chance of any of the favourites for a podium.

I already feel sorry for Seixas.

True, I wasn't discounting him by not having him in the other list. Current odds below, i'd imagine Pog will ride away from everyone and Del Toro will snipe a few of the of the other favourites for 2nd, after sitting on for most of the run-in.

No idea why WVA is 20/1, would have plenty of others ahead of him

Van Aert is a known name so will have some bets on that will bump his odds. He has little chance given the way his season has been.

I could see this race looking like the last Worlds.

There are some weird odds out there. Jan Christen and Ben Healy are the same on Oddschecker. Pello Bilbao and Quinn Simmons both on 125/1 despite Bilbao having several top 7 finishes in recent years to Simmons one ( and its not as if Simmons has had a stellar start to 26)

I think the biggest threat to a del Toro second place is Christen's sense of entitlement to a podium- he'll probably try to chase Isaac down, dragging everyone else along with him.

Womens race is carnage, vollering ends up in G2 after a mechanical, then they take a wrong turn. 3mins behind now, 30k to go

Led astray by a motorbike. Big problem for the organisers although riders should also be on the ball.
