With the latest game coming to Playstation Plus in March now confirmed, I've set up this thread related to the boards.ie society that I've set up in the game. I will wait to get a few members before proceeding with setting up a few events so players can get used to the new swing style and then we can decide on difficulty settings. I don't want to have it set so difficult that it puts off player, but also don't want it so easy that a few of the old pros can hit -20 on a round.

Game is live in sure you all want to get your players set up and choose and get some matches under your belt send me a request to boards.ie society and I'll add you in. When we have a few members we can kick of our first tournament.

Joined the society now and got a couple of rounds in yesterday. It certainly feels like a step up in terms of punishing swing inaccuracies, which is no bad thing. It has made 2k23 feel like a point and shoot game, I've had way more pulls and pushes now.

Any chance we can set the society to stick only? 3 Click was a big advantage in the last game.

I’m in. Looks like a long road ahead to get used to the new swing mechanics and also the heap of stats and upgrades to play around with.

Hopefully should mean some unpredictable scores in the opening weeks.

Probably put the skill level to amateur for first event. Btw there is no easy way to switch archetypes so make sure you pick the correct the one that you prefer. They make it so it pushes you to buy VC points.

Respawn does a pretty good breakdown of whats new and different in the game and how to build out your player. Recommend playing as the preset pros like Tiger for the various archetypes to see what best suits your game

I seemed to get very little lie penalty for finding the rough at Portrush, I doubt that's a settings thing but I found it unusual.

yeah I’m really struggling. Just had a decent enough 1st round on the latest event but I’m finding bunkers and rough constantly. I’m trying to figure out if the game has gotten harder or if I’m just sh1te at it.

I think it's all to do with leveling up your clubs and skill set if you play on ProAm setting say with one of the pros like Tiger it seems a lot easier.

A few months later than I thought, I guessed Aug 25 for the game to be added, but here we are :)

I don't really use my PS much these days, so just seeing this months games and came here to see the new thread.

I'll join the auld club anyway, once I get the game downloaded, need to make space first!

Ha, my character is still woefully under powered, struggling with chip shots and putting in particular. Had a mare on one of the holes to “help” me get to +10.

Frisco certainly was a challenge, took a while to get my bearings.

I think it's hosting a major in a few years, it's a bit of a nothing course for me. Looks a bit lost in the landscape.

I've joined, have had the game since launch but mainly played career and NLU society events. Didn't realise there was a boards society. Just recently fired it up again when I saw it was on plus, will try play events going forward. Do you try sync with the PGA schedule for majors etc? or just random?

Hey welcome aboard ! We can do some of the majors like the masters but not the weekly PGA events. For the current events on the society schedule I'm adding just the official 2K courses. Obviously a lot of the society just got the game on ps plus so trying to build up our players. Does seem you need to spend VC to get the attributes up.
