    I doubt you can get undercover teams to engineer regime change. It reads like as much of a fantasy that the Venezualan government would be brought down by Chavez being removed. The army needs to change sides, and I dont see that happening.

    Exactly, if the US had actually brought Saddam's military commanders on board there wouldn't have been the insurgency filling the power vacuum.

    Iranian pragmatists know that Trump's attention span is extremely short and he's as likely to get bored and f off when there's no easy win, like when Madura was sold off.

    With zero strategy US are in greater danger of friendly fire. During the Gulf War more US personal died accidentally than in combat.

    Will Trump have the ability to see this through from start to it's eventual end or TACO after day three when the U.S casualty list becomes the headline news in the states? I cant see Melania Trump chairing, as proposed, the 01 March meeting of the U.N security council.

    Not really. Those generally opposed to him have been effectively sidelined. There are probably a lot more who think he's a dangerous buffoon, but keep their mouths shut for the sake of their careers.

    There are some who will criticise a particular policy he has, like support of Israel or continued evasion on the Epstein files, but would row in behind him in any kind of confrontation with the Democratic party.

    To underline the point - the Republican manifesto for the 2020 general was basically, "Whatever Trump says…"

    Just want to reiterate my disgust at this American administration.

    Of course by me previously taking right wing stances was an attempt to bring them back to the centre after criminally illegal invasions under the Bush administration.

    My stance was that you can be right wing and not invade other countries or exploit them.

    Obviously I disassociate from anything this or previous Repoublican administrations have done like this, as crazy sh1t, and dangerous to the world and the west.

    Just like when sadam was killed and the mission was accomplished and Iraq returned to a peaceful happy place where democracy flourished and the people were delighted. Will be the same for Iran only on a much bigger scale and in a more strategic position. Rocky years ahead of oil supply
