For tariffs the E.U. acts as a bloc. Trump`s wet dream would be them acting individually.

All the E.U. wuld have to do is publish the list of tariffs they would impose on U.S. businesses exporting to the E.U. and the voters in those states affected would quickly point out to their members of congress the effect those tariffs would have.

My concept is for the individual EU countries coincidentally have their ambassadors and trade reps approach the individual U.S states and advise them of how a response from those countries to Trump would not be good for either parties. As we have seen, individual EU countries can act in their own interests - look at Hungary. There is nothing illegal or against EU law if an EU national Govt decides to have its Reps in the U.S talk business to people outside Trump's area of interest and ADVISE those U.S persons of how things are being upset by Trump across international trade. It might irritate some people but that's their problem. That seems to tie in with what is in your 2nd Para, just a friendly chat outside Trump's swamp.

A little advice for you. Check whether something is actually real or not before posting it on here.

There's mountains of stuff to criticise Trump and his minnions on the right over. No need to blindly swallow everything you see online as fact.

In other news, Ghislaine Maxwells lawyers are fighting the release of 90,000 documents related to Epstein as unconstitutional as it would hinder her conviction appeal. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=896b603036694406954f7817e09484c9dcd6b966604cac6fa36b87ea48c5e45cJmltdHM9MTc3MTcxODQwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=04f55f2f-e40c-6108-1379-4b9fe541609e&psq=Are+Ghislaine+Maxwells+lawyers+fighting+the+release+of+thousands+of+documents+related+to+Epstein+is+unconstitutional&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubGF0aW1lcy5jb20vd29ybGQtbmF0aW9uL3N0b3J5LzIwMjYtMDItMjEvZ2hpc2xhaW5lLW1heHdlbGwtZmlnaHRzLXJlbGVhc2Utb2YtbW9yZS1lcHN0ZWluLWRvY3VtZW50cy1jYWxsaW5nLWxhdy11bmNvbnN0aXR1dGlvbmFs

Google handed a pro Palestine protesters bank account and credit card details to ICE.

Tennessee Republicans pass bill in State House that would allow private organizations refuse to recognise same sex marriage. It goes to the State Senate.

    What do you with this?

it could be one of 4 things

    1. The video is AI
    2. The caller is AI
    3. The caller is an impersonator
    4. The caller is actually Trump

For me I'd say it has to be number 3, but who knows for sure in today's world?

When Elon Musk and Larry Elison realize just how they can manipulate narratives with AI, we are fcuked.

And this is why there should be serious, draconian even AI regulation.

This sort of stuff is going to influence people, legal cases etc, so much in the coming years I feel.

The E.U. does not need more Hungary`s attempting to weaken it from the inside to the benefit of Trump and Putin.

There would be no such thing as having a quiet word with businesses in the U.S. that would not get back to Trump and his administration to have him mouthing off that individual countries within the E.U. are looking for their own individual deals. That would result in disharmony within the E.U. which would just be playing into Trump`s hand.

The E.U. strength is in it being an economic bloc, and for others to be aware that if it is forced to act it will do so as a bloc. If the E.U. imposes tariffs on the U.S. and a E.U. country such as Hungary decides to ignore those tariffs, then I would expect the E.U. would impose sanctions on that country.

Oh I think they've already realised.I totally agree with you on the need for draconian regulation on AI.

Orban is out to **** over the E.U every chance he gets to keep hold of Hungary's premiership in a similar way to Trump's holding on to the U.S presidency. He's a thorn in the side of the E.U unity. His block on the E.U funding for Ukraine is the latest example with his demand that Russian oil be allowed through the Druzba pipeline, basically trying to overturn the sanctions on Russia.

I don't know why you insist the individual E.U govts cannot have their reps approach U.S politicians to talk to them outside the D.C area and Trump Admin on the basis that it would be disharmonious to the E.U and must act as a bloc in everything the individual Govts decide they are going to do separately to the E.U bloc.

The Secret Service must hate having to deal with Mar-a-lago. Beyond the headache of the Trumps themselves, the property is smack in the middle of a dense residential area with private houses bordering it to the north, with the rest of the perimeter ringed by the main road in the area. Mar-a-lago itself isn’t huge either, meaning that the general public are maybe 100-ish meters away from jumping a fence and getting to somewhere you’d find Donnie.

Of course, that’s what the Secret Service are trained to prevent, but it can’t be easy when the Orange nitwit insists on spending his weekends* in this unsecure hellscape.

(* Still madness that the head of a state of a place like the US treats the job as something he can just ignore after Friday afternoon….not that he’s ever taken the job seriously.)

Danish military evacuates US submariner who needed urgent medical care off Greenland

Also late Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to deploy a hospital ship to the Danish autonomous territory of Greenland, alleging that many people there are sick and not receiving care — prompting a defense of Denmark’s health care system from Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

I don't know, it seems to me that Trump may have sent that ship to aid the US submariner, but is using the pretence above to have a dig at Greenland and Danish officials.

Denmark and Greenland hit back at Trump.

Frederiksen defended Denmark’s health care system on Sunday, writing on Facebook that she was “happy to live in a country where there is free and equal access to health for all. Where it’s not insurances and wealth that determine whether you get proper treatment.”

“You have the same approach in Greenland,” she said, before adding: “Happy Sunday to you all” in front of a blushing, smiling emoji.

Aaja Chemnitz, one of the two Greenlandic politicians in the Danish parliament, wrote on Facebook: “Donald Trump wants to send a poorly maintained hospital ship to Greenland. It seems rather desperate and does not contribute to the permanent and sustainable strengthening of the healthcare system that we need.”

“Another day. Another crazy news story,” she wrote in front of a smiley face emoji.

Healthy food donations is probably what they need. Somebody should tell Trump, he might send a boat full of groceries.

I wasn't comparing Greenland to the US. A better comparison would be Greenland to Denmark or other Nordic countries. They have their issues regardless of trumps antics.

    So infantile

Reminds me of a bully in primary school when he won a race, jumping around, singing nah-nah-ne-nah-nah with his thumb on his nose and waving his fingers.

Just imagine if Canada had won? Or Norway doing something similar because they've won more medals than the US.

Silly, childish, immature. Just what we expect from this administration

Trump can't have sent a ship as the only 2 medical ships America has are in dry dock getting repairs done. He just posted this sh!t because a Danish military forces rescued a Sailor onboard a US Submarine who needed medical attention.

    He is one petty barsteward.

Top tier shithousery that. My Canadian buddy is well salty after the loss.

We should have put something like that after we whopped England although maybe not before a world cup year. Save it for the one that matters.

Can we stop calling it an administration?

    It has more in common with regimes of what Trump would call shithole countries {many of whom are on his Board of Piss}

    Or a kings court

The E.U. is a union of 27 states which operates as a single economic and political bloc. It`s one of its greatest strengths.

Tariffs come under the economic heading and E.U. states cannot individually negotiate on tariff with any other state or economic bloc. Nor can they be tariffed individually by another country or block. Trump would have loved to have been able to do that with his first set of tariffs but because it is a political and economic bloc he could not. If an individual E.U state wishes to do deals on tariffs they would face severe sanctions in unison from the other 26.

Why do you think Orban has not been attempting to do his own deal for Hungary with Trump on tariffs ?
