That's a classic knee jerk reaction, one extreme to another. Saka & Rice are world class footballers, they'll have their up's & downs like any player but anyone spouting nonsense like that deserves to be dismissed as you did. I'd have done the same, I refuse to enagge with people like that as its a complete waste of time trying to convince them otherwise.

Yeah agreed. Knocked the stuffing out of me. We'll know Sunday what the reaction is, should tell us a lot. If we dont win, then its definitely over in my mind.

spurs manager said they trained with only 13 outfield players and that’s what they have for Sunday and he said it will be enough

For all the talk that Arsenal have thrown it away, City haven't really been great themselves. Arsenal have dropped a lot of points since Christmas, but, City really haven't made any inroads, I think the gap was around 4 points at Christmas and it's 5 now with City having a game in hand. City are going to continue to drop points, they will not do what they did previously and win 10/12 games or more in a row. I would say momentum has definitely shifted towards City, but, Arsenal can still win it, ye obviously need to pick up form again and not be afraid to win it. We will see what they are made of now, as they are still in the driving seat and won't get a better chance to win it. Its a strange title race this season as all 3 contenders are currently not in great form, Villa probably have left themselves too much to do.

I just had a look there. On Christmas day 2025, 10 league games ago Arsenal were top by 2 points. Assuming City win their game in hand its back to 2 points.

Remains to be seen if Man City will go on another winning run. Regardless, Arsenal need to up the levels of performances to stand a chance.

I'm not sure a winning run is even needed, given one of the sides has 2 wins in 7, and the other has 3 wins in 7. Just a little bit of semi consistency might be enough for whichever of the two can manage it.

So over Arsenal's worst period of form, City haven't gained anything and have to win their game in hand just to keep the gap the same, and this is the City side some think are going to reel off 10 or 12 games in a row! At the moment the title race resembles a slow bicycle race with the two main contenders struggling to get over the line and Villa beginning to fall away. United and Chelsea are the only teams in the top 6 who are in decent form, but, way too far back to challenge!

Gunnerblog made a comment on the Arsecast that sums it all up (excuse the phrase).

City don't look like going on one of their game winning runs to win the league, but if Arsenal don't improve, they probably won't have to! I agreed fully with that. If we beat Spurs Sunday, I'll relax a bit more, but I doubt I'll recover that confidence I had a couple of weeks ago!

    from bbc sport

Arsenal technical director James Ellis has left the club just seven months after taking the position.

Ellis was promoted into the role from his previous position as head of recruitment last summer, but will now leave the Emirates Stadium.

The club has undergone an internal restructuring in recent months.

Andrea Berta has taken over as sporting director, replacing Jason Ayto, who left last summer.

In November, BBC Sport revealed Napoli head of scouting Maurizio Micheli had joined the club in a senior recruitment role.

Ellis's exit is the latest in a growing line of developments within the inner workings at the Emirates.

My usual enthusiasm for this fixture has been dissolved after Wednesday's debacle.

Need a performance today, even the usual nervy one goal win isn't going to allay any fears about how the rest of the season will go.

I was absolutely gutted, borderline Angry after Wednesday result.

But after the dust has settled, what an opportunity for the players today and next week. Two London derbies to prove they mean business. Everyone in the media and rival fans wanting them to fail. Big opportunity to prove everyone wrong. Its what you play football for. Great opportunity today.

A win, no matter how, is more important than performance right now.

It's a great opportunity, but I fear that the team showed their true colours on Wednesday night.

    I hope I'm wrong

I'm actually really looking forward to this match. I have a good feeling we will get the win. Big test for both teams so should be a feisty encounter.

Our bench will make the difference here! Fingers crossed..

You all know I hope we win, I really do! But I fear this will be a draw at best. I just have a feeling in my bones. I’m very nervous.

First time agreeing with G Neville, this is bullshit!

I wish Neville would just shut up sometimes. He's definitely getting worse as a pundit.

I listen with the sound off. We need fast flowing football. None of the slow sideways and backwards dross.

Trossard should've just layed Gyokeres through instead blasted it out of the stadium

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 16,107 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

Maybe I'm being harsh but when Raya flug the ball out there and Gyokeres accidentally laid it off, Eze just seemed so slow to react and get moving into a ball that was in his path.

    Eze loves playing Spurs!

Now we need the second ….. and the third.

And once again, we can't hold on to a lead.

Sort it out lads. We are our own worst enemies handing opportunities to the opposition in dangerous areas.

saka is getting some rough treatment today

There seems to be not as much flow from us with the ball and spurs are jumping on any little mistake
