About 2cm cover. Still snowing and getting windy. I’d guess above 150m here there will be a nice fall.

Proper 2010 snow flakes falling here in carrick on shannon but it's gonna stop soon as precipitation is stopping on radar , I'm glad to have seen snow falling , that's the 4th time this winter 😀

Sticking now big flakes. Seems to be less precip than was expected?

Radar is (again) miles off for here in north Dublin at least, showing heavy rain for the past while yet it's only light spits and drizzle for the most part. Probably with snow reaching fairly low levels it's returning stronger echoes on the radars

Started as rain here around 3.45pm on the Laois-Kilkenny border towards temperatures around 4c, then dropped to 1c and snowed (wet variety) for an hour, temperatures rising again, currently 2.4c and mostly sleety rain.

Heavy Snow from the viewing point in dublin towards glencree and on to sallysgap. Stay away. Roads are bad. Drifting in places. I didn't go any further due to cars....getting stuck. 4 wheeled drive only.

Snowy scene at 5:50pm! Mayo Roscommon border 143msl. Love the stretch in the evenings too. Thank God spring is on the horizon even if it doesn’t feel like it. I moved here from the east coast a few years ago and never thought I would see snow so often. The snow starved in-laws back east are contemplating moving (the ones with kids at least). The icy morning commutes are about the only thing I don’t love about living in the wesht!

no snow in D22 but Jesus that wind is shocking… you’d think the windows were going to come in

Yep, wind is gusting & temperatures are rising. This has been a pretty short cold spell in the east.

if they are going to invade, it better be before our tunnel network melts, revealing all our hidden supply depots…

Huge black clouds here in NCD this morning, it's going to absolutely lash.

Ah right on time here it is, coming down in sheets of rain.

A really mild, breezy morning in my part of Kerry. Dry too but I' say there might be on and off light showers.

The Yellow rain warning never materialised yesterday (unless they meant showery February weather) I was out walking for 3 hours yesterday morning an not a drop of rain anywhere.

The hysterical cold warning overnight on Friday never materialised either……. just a normal cold February night. No ice on roads, no snow, just a fab day.

These wild warnings in Red, Orange and Yellow are going to be ignored if they don't materialise. And then Dublin was flooded on Thursday night with NO warning

A couple of images of snow capped Mourne Mountains from a few different spots yesterday - Balbriggan Harbour and Ardgillan Castle. Additionally Wicklow Mountains with Portrane towers from Rush. Not heading to the mountains again until I get snow at home in Dublin 13 however long that takes - it's been 5 years now, since January 2021. I'm fed up of chasing it.

Got caught in a downpour there with strong winds no let up at all 😕. Few hailstones mixed in too. A day of many showers it looks like here
