One of Amorims pluses coming from Sporting is he had a very good fit squad. That has transferred over to his time at utd.

I wouldn't be offering Shaw anything near a new contract though. He's getting old and his minutes on the pitch vs the return of contracts he should of been gone ages ago.

Yeah. Imagine him and his agent rocking up and asking for a 4 year deal at the age of 31, with his injury history. They’d be laughed out of the room.

Fair play to him this season, he’s done what he’s needed to do. One year left - try and reduce his wages, but you can’t be offering anything more than 2 years, which he might not even agree to.

It’s good to see the expectations are fairly accurate. No one is expecting this to be a walk in the park, but hoping for the win.

In regards Shaw I think as a club we need to learn from the past. Recruitment in my opinion has improved but we need to let rid of players before it'd too late and they costing us a squad place where they are basically paper weight.

Shaw is fine no doubt his quality but you just know that he is made of paper mache and if there was a run of games next year in a short space of time the chances are he wpuod get crocked.

He has a year left on his contract so either keep him and leave him off after next season for free he will be 32.... or sell him this summer and replace him. As far as wages go he is not the worst.

Maguire is another one. He is very good this year but noway should he get a few year deal. Extend him for a year plus a year option or something like that if we can't afford replace him. Drop his wages too.

Not a fan of him myself, but to be fair, he spotted a gimmick, it caught fire, and I’d imagine he’s made a few bob from it, it annoys me that he’s part of any conversation, but the other side of me thinks, meh, fair pay to him.

My gut says points will be dropped tonight, we definitely should be beating them but Carrick is going to lose some time and tonight feels very much like the banana skin.

Hopefully I'm wrong, and hopefully if we do lose it is not some horrific performance that kills the momentum completely. If they get a lucky last minute equaliser then thats ok, these things happen and we can move on.

I reckon we'll win but need to get off the blocks early. Strongest squad we could of sent out.

Lads are coming out saying that Carrick is letting them play more freely so it'll be up to them so do it. Nothing holding them back now and a nice win before the break. They'll want to get thay streak kept on going.
