I'm seeing many black Americans defend him. That's worth noting. His predecessor on the other hand (Biden) is on record some wild comments about the black community.

Does this not highlight the bias of Wikipedia when Biden has actually said a lot of racist stuff?

Joe Biden's Timeline of Racial Comments and Actions:

From 1971 to 1974, Biden's legal residence had a deed barring ownership by African Americans.

In 1974, Biden made an analogy of himself as a 29 year old in the Senate to being a "token black."

In 1975, Biden asked if "the only way a black man or woman can learn is if they rub shoulders with my white child?"

In 1977, Biden said that busing would cause his children to grow up in "a racial jungle."

In 1977, Biden voted against Black Justice Department nominees specifically over his opposition to busing.

In 1977, Biden said he asked to join the Senate Judiciary Committee specifically to lead the charge against busing.

In 1979, Biden voted to allow racially segregated private schools to keep their tax exempt status.

In 1981, Biden said George Wallace was "right about some things."

In 1984, Biden used the word "boy" to refer to Jesse Jackson.

In 1985, Biden made a favorable comparison between segregationist Senator John Stennis and Confederate General Stonewall Jackson.

In 1987, Biden "sought to appeal to white voters" by touting an award he received from George Wallace in 1973 where he praised Biden as "one of the outstanding young politicians in America."

During his 1988 campaign, Biden falsely claimed he was part of the civil rights movement, saying he "marched" in his "youth."

In 2006, Biden said, "you cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent."

In his 2007 book, Promises To Keep, Biden admitted that, as a young person, he had "no real relationships with Black people."

In 2007, Biden called then-Sen. Barack Obama "the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

In 2010, Biden delivered a 22-minute eulogy, the longest speech, at Senator Robert Byrd's (D-WV) memorial service, calling the former KKK member a "friend," "mentor," and "guide."

In 2016, Biden praised segregationist Senator John Stennis as a "friend" and an "honorable" man.

In 2019, Biden recalled the era when "he was able to get along with segregationist senators."

In 2019, Biden boasted that segregationist Senator James Eastland called him son, not boy.

In 2019, Biden said the Obama administration went "into the hood" of Detroit to recruit minorities.

In 2019, Biden claimed a major problem Black communities face is illiteracy, saying Black "parents can't read or write themselves," leaving Black attendees "shocked and frustrated."

In 2019, Biden said that "poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids."

In 2020, Biden suggested some people were able to quarantine during Covid because "some black woman was able to stack the grocery shelf."

    Article I used

    https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/haley-campaign-press-release-haley-media-dont-give-biden-pass-his-record-race

@charlie14 I've not accused people of that AFAIK so that's not relevant to me. I'd have voted for Biden over trump in the last election.

@Tony EH I think the real mitigating factor here is it was a 1 second autoplay on the actually video trump shared. Bidens racist history isn't needed.

@ancapailldorcha how can you claim Biden isn't racist when he's clearly said some bad things. Are you starting to see why I'm not a supporter or fan of any US president I know about? Not exactly role model material. At least on trump we can admit he says bad things.

What a load of deflection,I hope you are getting paid by the letter.

You can’t be taken seriously with a post like this.

You’re seeing “many”, but you’ll ignore the blatant racism of the video. Sounds legit, sure thing.

Bidens wild comments? Please share, but I won’t hold my breath. You’re aware trumps record of racism, along with his fathers, is very well documented? But you’ve gone with the “but Biden” nonsense again.

There aren’t even straws for you to grasp at here.

    I already shared them.

I'm talking about Trump on this specific issue. I'm not trying to defend trump overall saying he's not racist. Big difference.

    Oh you mean this?

[APP NOTE: Like all "Campaign Press Releases" this document was entirely the product of a partisan political campaign.  It is archived at the APP as part of the record of campaign communications. The APP has not assessed the accuracy of any claims made here either pro or con.]

You might want to check your sources there mate. Some of that bias is clouding that judgement of yours.

I'm talking about Trump on this specific issue. I'm not trying to defend trump overall saying he's not racist. Big difference.

You really must think people can’t read your posts for what they are. It’s so very clear that you are defending Trump in this, why else would you bring up Joe Biden.

Trumps history and relationship to racial hatred is very well documented. You have to rely on comments from Nikki Haley during her failed run, and her team using selective quotes at that. Are they in poor taste? Sure. Do they measure up to what Trump has done with actions and words? Not even close, but yet you are actively trying to use Bidens quotes to defend Trump.

People aren’t going to be gaslit but you here, it’s very very clear what you’re doing.

We asked Haley’s campaign when Biden and Harris labeled the U.S. racist, but we have not received a response.

In fact, the president and vice president said the opposite in nationally televised interviews nearly two years ago.

Imagine that. Haley made a claim and it was, again, selective with the quote.

    For clarity:

Harris said in the interview that she applauded Biden for broaching the subject of race in that year’s address to Congress. In the speech, he talked about rooting out “systemic racism,” such as in the criminal justice system, “that plagues America and American lives,” as well as addressing “the most lethal terrorist threat” of white supremacy.

“He spoke what we know from the intelligence community,” Harris said of Biden. “One of the greatest threats to our national security is domestic terrorism manifested by white supremacists. And so these are issues that we must confront, and it does not help to heal our country, to unify us as a people, to ignore the realities of that. And I think the president has been outstanding and a real national leader on the issue of saying let’s confront the realities and let’s deal with it knowing we all have so much more in common than what separates us. And the idea is that we want to unify the country but not without speaking truth and requiring accountability as appropriate.”

But you’ve seen “many” black people say they weren’t offended by what Trump posted. Give over for christs sake.

Tbf Biden apologised for a lot of his racist remarks but would you say it was genuine or just part of an effort to elevate his political career including the ultimate goal of the presidential position?

Black America has been warming to Trump as the years go by.

    https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2024/11/6/us-election-2024-results-how-black-voters-shifted-towards-trump

From 8% to 13% to 20% despite the MSM campaigns telling black Americans to vote blue. He hit 20% running against a POC as well.

Still going at Biden when the actual president right now is sharing racist imagery…

And yes, I would say Bidens apologies were genuine, he struck me as a decent person under it all, and not a pig of a human like Trump.

Now, do a little googling seeing as you’re in the mood, about trumps racism over the years (and now).

He was sued, by the government, and he settled…just think on that for a minute.

There is a Wikipedia page, with sections.

Testers from the New York City Human Rights Division had found that prospective Black renters at Trump buildings were told there were no apartments available, while prospective white renters were offered apartments at the same buildings.

Elyse Goldweber, the Justice Department lawyer tasked with taking Trump's deposition, has stated that during a coffee break Trump said to her directly, "You know, you don't want to live with them either."

I've got Black accountants at Trump Castle and at Trump Plaza. Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys wearing yarmulkes.... Those are the only kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else... Besides that, I've got to tell you something else. I think that the guy's lazy. And it's probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in Blacks.

Trump has also been accused of using racial slurs during filming of

    The Apprentice

    . Former

    Apprentice

contestant and former Trump administration communications director Omarosa Manigault Newman stated that Trump used "the N-word and others." Bill Pruitt, co-producer of Season One of

    The Apprentice

has also stated that Trump used a racial slur during filming of the show.

Just a few highlights for you there pal.

I've already said trump is racist I don't need to prove it as I don't see anyone here saying he isn't. They're all racist over there. In your opinion Biden is a former racist but I'll never trust a politicians apology. They'll say anything for power.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,750 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

    You’re defending him!!!! Right now!!!!!

And here we go again with “they’re all racist over there…” so it’s perfectly fine that the president shares a video depicting Obama as an ape…

This is pathetic from you, you have to normalise everything Trump does by saying someone else said it, or America is racist. You can’t stand to just criticise Trump at all, it must pain you!

I've a lot of posts criticising trump in fact one just there calling him racist. The latest incident isn't open and shut however judging by the context.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,750 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

    Are you serious?

Open and shut? What context would validate the president of the United States sharing a video like that? It’s clear as day, unless you’re a Trump fan, it seems.

Funny that you say you criticise Trump, but go to great lengths to post comments from Biden…odd, almost like you aren’t fully criticising Trump at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,254 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

The fact that it's a 1 second autoplay at the end of the voter fraud video he shared. Context is key. You're aware of the context of the monkey image right and you've watched the full video trump shared?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,356 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

Levitt said it was posted as part of a play on the Lion King. So Trump was well aware what he was posting.

So your assertion that its just a clip at the end of a video doesn't make sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,750 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Yeah context is key, he shared the video and left it up for 12 hours. It was there intentionally. And you’re defending him and his racism again.

You're aware of the context of the monkey image right and you've watched the full video trump shared?

Oh I have to hear this one.

Answer my question so I can proceed. Did you watch the full video trump shared?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,750 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,254 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

So you're aware he shared a video about voter fraud regarding bidens election win and at the end it autoplayed for 1 second into the Obama video?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,750 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

That’s it…that’s your “context” to excuse the blatant racism.

    Really?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,254 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

The blatant racism is from whoever made that video. A 1 second autoplay doesn't suggest racist intent with that post.

The funny thing is I could make a better argument for a suggestion of racism from this incident alone and as far as I know nobody has picked up on it, at least here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,750 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Who cares if it was 1 second or not? What sort of crap is that?

It was up for 12 hours, and he has said he has done nothing wrong. That’s despite the very clear racism on display.

You’re defending him again, and also defending racism from him. Pathetic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 337 ✭✭somenergy

The side ur coming from to compare would require many more pages and a total lack of empathy while pursuing life as a failed business and con man

The video where he emptied his dyper contents on the no kings day should have being his last no other pres or even Hitler was as disrespectful but hey more to come unless the grim reaper helps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,254 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

It's not so much who cares but the fact it can easily have been a mistake. Anyone who sends clipped videos would know this is quite common.

I don't believe this incident was him being racist so I'm not defending him. I do believe he is actually racist though and I think you and many others are missing the real evidence here why.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 17,923 ✭✭✭✭astrofool

Do remember, trump has specifically not apologised for it.

And you started yourself off by being clueless about all the unproven, in trump appointed courts, voter fraud allegations made by trump.

You admit the racism, have you educated yourself on the voter fraud side? (Including mypillow guy, all the ex-lawyers, the fake electors and Giuliani making a show of himself multipe times?).

Got to hand it to Republican Congressman Thomas Massie. He has a firm hold of that Epstein bone and he ain’t letting go.

You can imagine the abuse and threats he’s getting for it from within his own party. These are the sort of politicians every country needs - people who actually believe in something. He has a bit of class too, something the president sorely lacks:

Days after being called a “moron” by President Donald Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast, Rep. Thomas Massie said Sunday that Trump has “gone too far” with some of his insults and needs to be monitored.

Speaking on CNN’s “Inside Politics With Manu Raju,” the Kentucky Republican did not highlight Trump’s remarks about himself, instead focusing on insults of his wife and of the social media post posted by the White House that depicted former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as apes.

Massie, who is facing Trump-supported candidate Ed Gallrein in the Kentucky Republican primary, also took a light approach to Trump’s insults of him.

“I have two degrees from MIT, and I’m sorry you booked a moron today on your show,” Massie told Raju.

The Trump video was racist for including the images of the Obama's. It was also a complete distortion of reality in the totally dishonest claims made about the elections.

Trump's dishonesty is being completely ignored because everyone is focused on his racism.

What an absolute joke of a president

    Ban billionaires

Funny how the Trump administration is saying it was a staffer that done it and ran away but it was also fine because it was a video based on the Lion King (which isn't true, but whatever), but now we're supposed to believe it was a video from something else that automatically played ?

Can you at least get your stories straight ?

This was a communication from the US President. Not just 'anyone.'
