Absolutely shocking performance from Maye tonight.

Great performance defensively on both sides, but particularly from the Seahawks. A lot like Eagles in last years Superbowl where they're getting so much pressure on the QB but without having to keep bringing in a blitz. But Maye has just not been able to get it together at all.

Superbowl record of 5 field goals set by Jason Myers. 22-7. I can't see any way back, though it's not impossible.

Kupp one of the few, maybe the only, wide receivers to have won with two different teams?

Men against boys. Seahawks deserve it.

One worst displays by a team in SB

    NE were hopeless

At least Maye had a good regular season! Absolutely average thereafter in an easier run to the SB for the Pats

The Seahawks and Rams were the best teams this season so I'm glad one of them is winning it. Added bonus of the Evil Empire getting belted.

    4th touchdown this quarter!

I missed that Patriots touchdown and they must have missed adding 2 points.

So few flags thrown in this SB. Seems to be an 'early' finish

Worthy winners anyway. We go again in September.

Disagree. As a match-up...yes. However it was a masterclass by the defences and some nice drama thrown in.

Seattle are deserved winners. Their defense just came to play. We have a long off season now.

Was it that the Seahawks defense were so good, or was it that the Patriots were so bad? Idk, maybe the answer lies somewhere in the middle.

I'll never, ever be ok with the practice of giving the team owner the trophy. It's a terrible tradition, it makes for an awful anticlimactic scene when some old billionaire that most fans usually think is a prick anyway lifts the trophy, instead of the team themselves like in sports everywhere else in the world.

Poor game, great halftime show, very funny having a hundred posts on here from ould lads who never heard of him and assuming that means he must be a nobody. Great artist, we boards posters not be exactly the target audience here!

RTE gave Brian Cody man of the match in the 2008 All Ireland Hurling final.

I always watch it and think it'd be cool if the owner shows some humility and refuses to accept it and passes it on for the coach and players to lift, but they never do unfortunately.

    Feel bad for Tyler Lockett.

Drafted by Seattle the year after they won their last Super Bowl, spent 10 years there, and left the year before they won it again.

Not the same thing though! For one thing Brian wasn't the owner of kilkenny gaa, and he also never went up the steps to lift the trophy (not as manager anyway). It would be like if ned quinn had gone up and lifted the trophy after the match. Also that was a ridiculous one off decision that shouldn't have happened, Eddie Brennan should have been motm that day, or maybe eoin Larkin.

No I was talking about the MVP thing, they were saying on Virgin Media that the entire Seahawks defence should get the award because they were all brilliant and there was no stand out individual performance.

I don't know Spanish, I hadn't a clue what he was rapping about.

He looked great until his injury. He came off IR at the start of the playoffs and hasn't looked good since then.
