    Try Out Insurance.
I’ve swapped one car to them this year. They are aggressively targeting the market currently.

Also try Allianz as I have had my MSP90DL for €236, MY for €357 (jumped to €400 this year though).

I have heard difficult to get proof of no claims out of Out Insurance if you want to change

Should give them a try in August Dodzy. I find them good to deal with, have house insurance with them as well, they sent out plumber on St Stephens Day last to look at my cracked heating boiler when I couldnt fond anyone else, free of charge as well!

By law it has to be provided on request mid-period or I believe automatically with your renewal notice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 368 ✭✭Sealman

Think according to reports they give it eventually but it takes a lot of effort to get it out of them!

How far in advance are you booking your first 1 year service at the MSL service centre in North Dublin?

Has anyone had to lift the back seat? Young fella decided to drop a switch game cartridge down through the gap where the seat belt socket comes up through the back seat bench. I watched this video from 6:14 onwards and can't seem to get the back seat to lift like he has done

EDIT: Never mind finally got it up and out, it really does require quite a bit of force to get it to unclip.

Just upgraded car to version 2.1.1 without data on the SIM card so another thing not to have to worry about

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,577 ✭✭✭spakman

Hmm I don't understand how that would work unless the car was connected to your home wifi or using your phone hotspot.

Request to upgrade appeared when I was away from home so not home network. Hotspot not turned on in my phone. Did the upgrade outside my house but doubt it was connected. Have noticed in data monitor that I have zero bits however there is a few kbits showing up as uploaded and downloaded in navigation although navigation seems to work offline, also I can see location of car in the app when car away from home so byd must retain a data connection for any background requirements they need. Unless this is coming using Android auto, not sure how that connects

    Mine also updating presently.

Updates will always work, irrespective of your data allowance being used or not. Basically, as long as you have a network signal, you’re good. It will always be that way thankfully. Interested in finding out if the auto lights bug (always on even when turned off) is fixed?

Anything interesting in the new update?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 267 ✭✭grumpygit

Didn't give me a list of changes this time but looking online they say it has resolved the issue of the car forgetting if recirculating was selected!. I didn't even know if that was an issue. Also now let's you schedule AC charging via the app ( just checked and option now there, only available for AC charging, not DC fast charging)

Isnt that for Shark in Australia?

AC charging via App has been a feature for a long time now. Latest addition was the ‘one tap to schedule’ internal heating which was much more recently.

Never heard there was an issue with air recirculation button!

What do you think is new Listermint after doing the update?

Does the update fix the heated seats turning themselves off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,492 ✭✭✭✭dodzy

Heated seats via the app has a mind of its' own. More often than not they will deactivate after being turned on. I use to turn on seats, then steering wheel and then internal temp to probably 26C for quick heating. You'd get to the car and 10mins later and it would be obvious that the seats had not been on. Steering wheel and internal temp would be toasty.

What I now do is turn on internal temp first, then wheel, and seats last. Then, before exiting the seat & wheel heating screen in the app, swipe down to refresh. Invariably, using my original sequence (seats on first) I would find that the seat heating would magically be off, the wheel heating and internal temp would still be active but I found that the success rate when activating the seat heating last was higher. I'd still religiously swipe down to refresh and turn seats on once again if required. When this is done, I find that they do remain on. Messy, I know.

Same here, always have to go back to check that they are still on sometimes they are sometimes not annoying but oncevyou reset them they seem to stay on then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 58 ✭✭BrianOgre

Did the update yesterday and this morning went into the app and shows "Weak network signal" meaning it wont allow me to use. Don't know if coincidence with update or not. It is showing correct vehicle position though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 267 ✭✭grumpygit

HUD now incorporates blind spot detection. Blank space in it now which doesn't seem to be in use, maybe for navigation but as I no longer have data I don't have that feature, then again it could just be a blank space, Android auto navigation doesn't show up there anyway. My gps seems to be temperamental today too for some reason, first time I ever had a problem with it

Getting weak network signal as well on App since update, they always seem to screw up something else doing fixes on other things, very annoying!

Honestly nothings changed in mine at all, with the exception that the radio signal tuner when toggling through stations seems quicker and less static on previously static stations.

Outside of that no change. App same. No GPS issues no network issues . As was.
