Saw clips this week of Arsenal fans saying their current team would beat our 2008 team 😂

Love giving their fanbase a proper humbling

Can’t wait for next weekend now, what a truly amazing week for Carrick.

Gunners were sickened by that beautiful winner by our Brazilian Bomber.

Fulham next - Let’s get it on

What was Amorim doing for 14 months. That was a huge waste of time.

Next few games will tell a lot about the players. Do well and it proves Amorin was the issue. Not turn up like they have the last two games and the spotlight will fall firmly on the players.

There is a sense of freedom about how they have played under Carrick so far so I suspect it'll be the former.

The club now have to try and get someone in to bolster the midfield until even a loaner. Top 4 is looking achievable, but one or two injuries and they could crumble.

What a couple of results. Serious performances too.

I didn't agree with the starting line ups in either game but was wrong twice. Tactics spot on.

Two unbelievable goals. Dorgu is an oddity. Looks like a 400m runner who won a raffle to play at times and then shows flashes of real quality.

Maguire and Martinez been immense. Having experienced centre halves makes a huge difference.

Next two games will tell us more about Carrick and this team. We won't be able to set up like we have last 2 games against Fulham, Spurs and West Ham. That's where we will find out about Carrick and this team. Maybe we have stumbled on the next top level coach.

I'd be of the opinion that we shouldn't cut our nose off to spite our face and if the team maintains this level of performance then give him the job. Don't let past decisions (Olé) affect our thinking on Carrick. Judge him in isolation.

    What a week.

I've said if he gets us CL football and United can't get someone like Tuchel or Nagelsmann I'd probably rather see Carrick stick around than the likes of Poch or even Xavi getting the job who for me might have just been suited to what Barca needed at the time like Zidane was Madrid.

But that's months away so let's enjoy the moments while they happen between now and then. Just **** delighted though we beat that lot today because **** Arteta 😂

What a result and performance. Brilliant feeling this last week.

Thought it was a definite fluke on Lammens for Arsenals second. They were pulling and pushing everywhere.

Cunha is a great lad to ease the pressure late in the game. He’s brilliant at receiving the ball deep and going o his own and keeping it. Strong as an ox.

It’s mad we have struggled so much to repeat a back to back win and Carrick does it in his first two games against City and Arsenal.

Arsenal are a much more talented squad than ours overall but they do seem to stutter and freeze a bit when the prsssure is on and the crowd certainly feed into it. Thought they were a huge disappointment.

Took Carrick 2 matches to win 2 in a row compared to Amorims 35. Against the 2 best sides in the league. Don’t give me hope Michael.

Dorgu has looked a new man in recent weeks, I hope he hasn't done a hamstring there. Cunha deserves his minutes too of course.

yup, I think it’s a balance between giving players freedom and being shoe horned into a bad system.

Amorin seemed to only really have 1 plan.
Now, there is a flare and a spark when we attack. any time we break we look dangerous. The passing in tight places is unreal, our defence looks solid

Ugh I'd love some proper analysis after big games. Keane Richards etc just don't cut it.

I'd take Craig Burley over them and that's saying something.

They say it’s the hope that kills you.

Now, for the first time in a long time, we’ve seen two serious performances in a row against two serious teams.

I like this hope thing. It feels good.

That was unreal. And a come from behind win away as well to boot. A good day.

You simply just have to love it.

Wouldn't let him and this lad manage the half time oranges

A big difference between now and then if Carrick was to be offered the job will hopefully be transfers. That the brains trusts can get others in who bring the same mentality as Mbeumo and Cunha. Amad has it and Dorgu is starting to show it.

Casemiro will be a massive loss this summer. It's a pity they couldn't have worked something out that sees him stay another season as a rotation option. I'd love if we could get Anderson this summer.

Don't think Dorgu was ever that bad tbf- he was certainly v raw but only just 21. Can't have been helped by Amorim publicly calling him anxious multiple times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,307 ✭✭✭AidoEirE

They are by far the worst fans. They've won **** all.

I wouldn't mind but id rather them win the league over City115 but the fans are just unbearable over the course of a season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,307 ✭✭✭AidoEirE

As much as they last 2 wins is a result.

Its the games like the next 3 against the lower tier teams Fulham, Spurs & West Ham. Its thise games where we need to perform and pick the points

16 g & a from BBB and Cunha in 36 league games. Two cracking signings and they'll only get better for us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,071 ✭✭✭crusd

An actual coach from the start of the season and the worst united side in history would be close to being in a title race

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,721 ✭✭✭kerplun k

Not sure how Arsenal are getting away with those corners. It’s only going to get worse if Refs keep letting them away with it. Their second goal was not football.

The fact there were boos after the game despite this being top of the league tells you all you need to know.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 17,456 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

Yep. Between that pulling and shoving and the slowness going from side to side they should consider forming a ruby union team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,199 ✭✭✭✭FourFourRED

Definitely but we did lose both games against Arsenal and City in the first half of the season. Lost to Villa as well. So it’s not like we were getting the results against the top teams this season either.

One game at a time and hopefully we finish in a Champions League spot.

They probably bank on so many players from both teams being in the six yard area that there'll be so much pulling and dragging from both teams that var will just say both teams were at it.

Arsenal subs today were basically the opposite of those signs at fun fairs with the height restriction.
