I'm still awaiting him being awarded the EAGames Medal of Honor.

Trump is only interested in the Venezuelan ‘OIL FAMILY’ - made up of Venezuelan olegarcs ans suchlike powerful people and Ms Mancuedo is NOT ONE OF THEM. She might as well be ‘pi—ing up a down pipe’ with regards to getting into power there

Trump is a gift to China. Many companies are sourcing from China since the tariff nonsense last year.

I'm not a trump fan despite you repeating it.

I also never said he was awarded it but you already knew that.

I've never seen him look so happy.

STOP PRESS - Trump is insisting on the $1.15 million dollars prize money she won also.

A joke BTW, but not impossible.

The fact that he spoke to all of the oil companies prior to the incursion and failed to inform Congress speaks volumes about this grifter.

If Kellie Harrington presented me with her Olympic Gold medal then does that make me a womans lightweight Olympic Champ? Did Steven Spielberg become Best Actress of 1938 for his role in Jezebel when he bought Bette Davis' Oscar? As mentioned, this was a pathetic display of hole licking by Machado and Trump must feel it really was his anyway which is equally pathetic. I always think of Richard Feynman, himself a laureate, who disdained awards. He accepted his because he didn't want to offend them. The satisfaction of the work and impact ought to be sufficient. That idea of people, enganging in elitism, converging and devoting time to decide who they deem worthy to join the club. A waste of time and in itself pathetic as well.

A lot of people were very unhappy Machado ever got the prize in the first place. She was very right wing, pro-Trump, pro-Israel etc…..doesn't exactly sound like someone who should be receiving a 'peace' prize in the current climate.

Someone on CNN compared Trump to a 2 year old child demanding toys.

'Trump now in posession of his first Nobel Peace prize'

    😂

That has to be the most disingenuous thing I've read here in a while, well done!

And by the way, 'first'? what, is he going to start hoarding them now? Maybe he can reach out to Nihon Hidankyo for his 'second Nobel Peace Prize' ?

Absolutely cracking up laughing here, couldn't make it up. You're a gas man.

If you saw the story on WWN you would laugh. But how is this not satire? I am sure that there are a few Nobel prizes for physics and maybe a Field’s medal knocking about on Ebay. They should throw in a bid

Maybe he'll confiscate Obama's medal after he's locked him up for being black.

Edit to add that Carney has announced that Canada is removing the 100% tariff on Chinese EVs that it slapped on alongside Biden.

I won't be surprised if we see EU leaders question Tesla's suitability considering the whole Grok pedo peddling.

I never looked at that one. His ego is off the charts. Like a kid at Christmas getting your brother's Toy after throwing a tantrum 😄

Possession "the state of having, owning, or controlling something". He's in possession of one award already without actually winning it. Not out of the realm's of possibilities he'll get his hand on another.

I think that she offered him an either or choice and he went for the ‘medal’

'A disingenuous remark might contain some superficial truth, but it is delivered with the intent to deceive or to serve some hidden purpose.'

A Trump supporter saying 'Trump now in posession of his first Nobel Peace prize' sounds like he somehow deserves to have it or even earned it, not just 'posess' it.

truly one the oddest and most unhinged and immature leaders who ever walked earth.. very very strange individual. And utterly bizarre how he is where he is. America deserve what America chose!!! Sad.

You do have to wonder what's going to happen with all these artefacts of his presidency when he finally dies.

Will this be passed down to someone in his family for hundreds of years? I reckon at some point it's going to end up sitting in a basement somewhere with water damage.

I was in Orlando many moons ago at an attraction called "Ripleys Belive It Or Not" which had tonnes of Bizarre Shite. Maybe a "Trumps believe it or not "is on the way to house all his Golden trinkets, the Buffoon.

    That's a fantastic idea.

On the plus side, kids in the future are going to love the Trump era section of history books, it'll be hilarious and almost unbelievable to read.

Maybe they can then go on a class trip to 'Trump's believe it or not' for some photos and to continue the laughter and disbelief.

Fox News is banging the annexationist drum, despite speculation that Murdoch is not a fan of Trump. Echoes of press baron William Randolph Hearsts newspapers before the Spanish-American War 1898, which was triggered by an explosion on an American ship blamed on Spain, which we now know was nothing to do with Spain.

    @Cluedo Monopoly

I've been thinking about your debate with various posters on the likelihood or not of Trump aggression re Greenland.

FWIW I tend to agree with you that it is (or at least should be) a very low percentage chance.

But I'm somewhat cautious in that this presidency has been one of truth-telling. They still do an incredible amount of lying after the event re the success of their actions, and he quite often TACOs his way out of actions afterwards.

But on big ticket items he has generally told the truth in advance. Tariffs, empowerment/deployment of ICE, deployment of the national guard, attacks on Irans nuclear facility, seizure of Venezuelan tankers, then the Russian registered boat, threats to Maduro. Afterwards he may have backed down or completely lied about the level of success, but crucially he told the truth in advance.

If he followed through on his statements on the actions above (many of which we'd have put in the low % chance) then perhaps we are stupid to rule out the possibility that he is also signalling his actual intentions re Greenland?

Mod - @Cluedo Monopoly and @walshb, again, stop the bickering.

Also a reminder that telling someone you've reported their post is viewed as trolling. I'm going to delete some posts, any more like this will be warned.

Fair post and thanks for providing a percentage (nobody else could). I suppose anything is possible but the Greenland ownership brings way way way more problems than it achieves. It just does not play. I give it less than 1% and I outlined the reasons. He will get a 'deal' of some sort. I believe he even said that himself. The working group will figure something out…

Interestingly some learned folks on here told me about Polymarket recently. Have you heard of it? Still not sure how it works but I just checked and they put the chances at 10%. Worth a punt for some.

Will the U.S. invade Greenland in 2026? Predictions & Odd... | Polymarket

As for truth telling - he kept saying the Chinese and Russian navies were constantly mooching around Greenland. This turned out to be more nonsense by Trump.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Reports of a secret Trump meeting where cancelling the midterms was discussed.

I think this whole theory of the midterms being cancelled is more distracting nonsense. Never going to happen. There is no legal mechanism to do so. Actually less than 1% chance 😉

The House of Rep members aren't just going to lose their seats and be ok with that. Same for the Senators where their term is up. It's a vacant threat. Not sure who is making it.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?
