Every time I check the score in the Bulls Bristol game I just presume it's the final score but no it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

See this a lot with the SA producers, the whole country has gone all in on winning by any means possible, including production crew like they are fans instead of professionals supposed to do a job.

When you have to put on sunscreen to play rugby this will happen and that is before you take the altitude into consideration. There is a reason why NFL and rugby is played in winter, even when you have teams with roofs to avoid playing in the elements. Absolutely mental that anyone still thinks it is a good idea for teams to go from 3C to 30C and not expect a serious medical incident to happen to a player sometime soon.

I am a huge fan of Ackermann but he needs players that he can mould and buy into what he wants to do. Pollard is not that, he has won a Top 14 but he was on the bench for the final games of that season and he won in England last year with a style that suited him. That is all he has won as a club player, he is limited in attack from years of being told to manage a game and cannot run a game like a flyhalf should be expected to.

He had the ability, but that was many years and many injuries ago. You can see the difference between the 2 teams skill levels in that Bristol passed the ball under pressure to each other as this has been trained for years. The Bulls have not done that so you can see them trying it but that is why there is so many unforced errors as well.

I have always thought if SA teams decided to move away from bashing everyone and played rugby like the All Blacks for most of this century they would dominate the game like the All Blacks did. But they seem to be happy with a 60%-70% win record as long as it includes the World Cup. Which is fine if you win the WC, but like Mourinho football teams it is only fun to watch and support his teams as long as he wins trophies.

Thought the Glasgow players were bound to the tryscorer before he received the offload from Steyn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭ironingbored

Huw Jones in for Glasgow's 2nd

    0-12

3 tries for Glasgow. They should be certs for topping the pool

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Paid Member Posts: 32,738 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

Definitely. They may well be one of the top 2 seeds and not have to leave home til the final.

Glasgow get their TBP after 35 mins.

    ASM look poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 228 ✭✭tmc1963

Much more about Glasgow being excellent than ASM poor I would say.

The Glasgow defence has been very good.

One lineout leads to a PT and two yellow cards. Ouch.

I think Clermont have suffered at least three injury enforced substitutions this game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭ironingbored

Clermont totally shoot themselves in the foot after getting back in the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 831 ✭✭✭Paddy_Mag

Thats disgraceful from Pearce. Medic on the pitch and he allows a quick tap

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭ironingbored

    Glasgow held up again.

Hopefully they dont kick it straight out again.

    10 mins to go 21-26

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,704 ✭✭✭Former Former Former

and then Glasgow return the favour with the quick tap. Five points up and TBP in the bag, take the points and make it a two score game.

But it doesn’t matter now. clermont unable to tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭ironingbored

    Game over.

    Steyn over in the corner.

    21-31 kick.to come

Cullen using his pre-match remarks to stick the knife unprovoked into the other provinces yet again for their Leinster heavy squads is box office.

He used to be so cautious, so diplomatic, now he's in his 'doesn't give a f***' era.

It’s the predetermined nature of the comments that make it all a bit weird.

He needs to button it and focus on the underwhelming performances under his watch.
