Has Sesko touched the ball yet?
Tempo …..way too slow for Utd.

Easy yellow for the ref to give. He was completely out of control and got there late

I never watch the punditry on it anymore. It's by the numbers and bland. And the presenters are robotic.

How is our crossing so bad, shaw loads of time there and hits the ankles of the defender then Leeds end up with a corner at the other end,

Decent first half in the circumstances.

Decent performance but really feeling the impact of missing players. Still think the win is there second half

He must wish he stayed in Leipzig another year or two.

Let’s be fair and say that’s been a decent first half for us but that effort by Dorgu at the end there was suspect at best.

It’s there for the taking and ya get the feeling a single goal could win the game.

Very decent first half. At least we brought a bit of intensity to the game.

    Heaven was excellent.

United growing in to it as the half went on. Put a few nice bits together towards the end

Martinez looks to be the key to getting things sorted on the pitch. Plenty of barking and bossing people about.

You'd hope one of the young lads springs from the bench and has a coming of age moment.

Decent first half all things considered!

Heaven is a serious CB for a 19 year old! A bit too quick to jump in with a tackle at times but he's seriously impressive.

Shame that Yoro’s header didn’t sneak in. Dorgu should’ve worked the keeper at least with that late effort.

There was me thinking he couldn’t be worse than Rasmus …..apparently he still has the boots he left Leipzig in….not a scuff on them

Yeah, decent first half all things considered, still there for either side though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,627 ✭✭✭Felexicon

People are being a touch harsh on Dorgu here. That was no gimme. Of course you want him to hit the target but you see much better players making much worse attempts at similar chances week in week out

Sesko really needs to start shouting and showing more for the ball and getting in the defenders faces. He's had no touches because he's just drifting around waiting for the ball to magically waft over to him. A lad of his size, pace and alleged strength should be a sharp elbowed thug towards the opposition defence. He's too fukn nice

Sesko needs to do more. Just jogging about. How has Dorgu had 3 or 4 chances so far and Sekso hasn't had a shot.

Don't worry, I'm sure our football brains trust have already identified a 19 year old in Ligue 1 to be our only striker next year.

how do they not show us the disallowed goal at HT?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,625 ✭✭✭✭StringerBell

Decent first half all things considered, lack of quality in the finishing and the final third evident of course but no surprise. Any kind of win would be here given the circumstances so here's hoping something goes in (for us!) in the second half

    Martinez is definitely the key.

Playing some amount of minutes for a man coming back from one of the worst injuries.

Is he not up against three CBs on his own?

United have three at the back and the midfield is packed. When he drops into that same zone he is contributing but nothing/nobody is counter moving and going in behind him then.

When Luke Shaw is one of the wide players and Cunha is dropping deep all the time there is no danger from the left and Dorgu is not making the forward rounds enough (no surprise when he has been wing back for so long) on the right.

When Sesko stays up high he has little to nothing to work in.

If United pushed Cunha high and Martinez into the midfield then it would help him a lot but then you are asking Ugarte to play a few yards higher and link play (eek!).

When the squad options are so little then we are going to see this type of game. If they play forward quick the numbers are not there. So they slow it down, and try to get the team up higher and then try and create an overload, but it is slow and we have seen week after week that United struggle to create chances when they play like that.

Leeds looking the more likely to take the points.

United just reacting …..second to most 50_50 balls.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,727 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Good fight from Dorgu there at least v Aaronsen

Really just missing any real quality today

Its the throat tattoo Sesko has, keep thinking its a tuft of hair.

    Very annoying

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,173 ✭✭✭Caustic

Why is shaw not crossing from there back to casamerio to play it with the outside of the right,
