He has just said the US is going to run Venezuela "with a group". Says they are going to rebuild the oil infrastructure, which will cost billions, and says the oil companies will be reimbursed.

The idea that this is primarily about illegal drugs entering the US is absolutely bonkers - imagine invading another country and toppling its government as a supposed solution to the problem of international drugs trafficking.
