Somali intelligence indicates Somaliland accepted three Israeli conditions in exchange for recognition. He listed them as the resettlement of Palestinians, an Israeli military base on the Gulf of Aden coast, and accession to the Abraham Accords.

According to Wikipedia, Somalialand is 68,000Sq miles, and Israel is 8,019Sq miles.

If Somaliland gave up 12% of it's territory, Israel could have a state of the same size that it currently occupies, free from the the perceived threats that it currently uses as a justification to attack and bomb 6 countries last year. And more importantly, the Palestinians could be rescued from their genocide and could start to live in safety in their homeland.

If the US gave the money that it would give to Israel to help persecute the Palestinians, to Somalia instead and promised to help them develop and be welcoming neighbours to Israel mk2 and Somaliland, they might even be happy to accept such an idea.

I'm speaking flippantly of course, but hell if Zionists just want a state in which to be safe, maybe it's time they moved somewhere where they didn't have to attack all their neighbours in the name of defence.

That must be Nigel with the brie...

Part of Madagascar was going to be the original homeland for the Jews way back. It was all ready to be put into action and it was all above board, the zionists weren't interested though and I think the main guy who was pushing for it was even murdered.

Not sure how much aid Israel gets from the EU and the UN. Most of their foreign aid seems to come from Trump's regime

That I can tell, most of the European population, even those who originally supported Israel are getting fed up with Netanyahu and Hamas

The resettlement of Palestinians? I'm reading this as Somaliland will be taking Palestinians in...

I'm reading this as Somaliland will be taking Palestinians in.

That's the intent, to pave the way (pun intended) for Trump's Gaza Riviera monstrosity.

Pity the Palestinians don't have the right to defend themselves as Israel has.

Somaliland being a largely unrecognised breakaway state it's likely they will be facing into their own war soon. Palestinians might actually be safer staying put

Palestinians should never take a step towards Somaliland, and I hope they don't.

But there is a plan being put in motion and there is a lot of powers involved who wouldn't care if they ended up in the middle of conflict there as long as Israel could progress on to the next phase of it's "Greater Israel" plan and I'm not sure the Palestinians will be able to resist literally being herded there like farm animals.

    It's sickening.

Russia still illegally trading with their buddies in Israel. Very close those two. Damaging underwater cables as the sailed too.

More detail on the banning of NGOs from Haaretz. The opinion piece especially hits the nail on the head.

Suppots @A Dub in Glasgo post.

A group of 19 Israel-based human rights NGOs condemned Israel's decision to bar dozens of international aid groups from operating in Gaza, saying that it "undermines principled humanitarian action, endangers staff and communities, and compromises effective aid delivery."

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres criticized a move by Israel to ban electricity or water to facilities owned by the UNRWA, a UN spokesperson said, adding that UNRWA is an "integral" part of the world body. UNRWA Commissioner General Phillipe Lazzarini said the decision was part of an ongoing " systematic campaign to discredit UNRWA and thereby obstruct" the role it plays in providing assistance to Palestinian refugees.

"Israel's decision to prevent 37 international aid organizations from continuing their work in the Gaza Strip is the latest step in a policy that has been both cruel and amateurish in its treatment of Gaza's civilian population.

Like other dark regimes around the world, the Israeli government has spun a web of lies and conspiracies around international organizations in an effort to blur responsibility for its own grave failure"

As I suspected, we are now starting to see reports of atrocities, War Crimes and breaches of humanitarian rights leaking out of Israel. There will undoubtedly be many more.

Don't forget, journalists are still banned from Gaza.

Israel has a lot of dirty secrets to hide. But there are Israelis who have the moral fortitude to try and get those secrets out. They will likely pay the price for that.

Throughout the Gaza war, Palestinian security prisoners were sometimes denied drinking water for up to half a day as collective punishment, according to 2024 visit reports by the Public Defender's Office.

In January, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel asked a court to make the reports public after the state initially blocked their release, citing national security concerns and the risk of harming hostages held in Gaza.

I posted yesterday that Netanyahu called settlers torching homes as just "kids" and in most cases, no action is taken, no punishment meted out.

If you're a Palestinian throwing rocks at a road, you'll pay with your life.

Israeli special forces killed one Palestinian and shot two others in the West Bank overnight into Thursday, the IDF said, claiming that the three were throwing rocks at a nearby highway. The statement did not specify the condition of the other two Palestinians.

Let's hope this is the case - but as we know, Israel couldn't care less about International Law.

    Haaretz:
The Government of Somaliland said on X that it rejects claims made by the president of Somalia that it will resettle displaced Gazans in exchange for Israel's recognition of it.

"Somaliland's engagement with the State of Israel is purely diplomatic, conducted in full respect of international law and the mutual sovereign interests of both countries," the statement said.

The IDF Rabble didn't shoot any settlers who are throwing rocks and clubbing women to unconsciousness whenever they feel like it and sometimes when watched over and protected by the IDF Rabble.

Bavck in the 1940s it was Jews committing the massacres as there was no Israel. How did these atrocities get rewritten as poor Jews defending themselves?

Everybody had gone to the scene of last night's explosion, the Semiramis Hotel in the road directly behind ours. This hotel was owned by a Palestinian Greek and had been fully occupied on the night when it was blown up.

It was the Nazis who wanted to deport Jews to Madagascar as part of their ethnic cleansing. In the end, they murdered them in the concentration camps. If Somaliland does not work out then the Zionists may wall in the refugee camps and do as the Nazis did. 2026 could be a year of horror for Palestinians while western politicians wine and dine in plush hotels and spout nonsense. The 100,000 plus dead Palestinians in the last two years may look like a warm-up.

They must be some 'special force' to shoot civilians. They sound like regular Israelis to me

A poll commissioned by Israel itself shows Europeans consider it a "genocidal" state.

Powerful stuff. "Hate the Muslims instead of our Genocide".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,454 ✭✭✭✭Strazdas

Another part of the 'hate Muslims' strategy by Israel (as referenced in the video) is the 'Jewish people worldwide are victims of anti-Semitism and fear for their lives' one. We're seeing this on Irish social media all the time from the prominent Israel defenders - perhaps because they know the 'hate Muslims' idea simply won't work in the Irish context.

Now that the camera's are turned away, Israel goes back to the tried and tested method of driving out the Palestinians from their land one field or house at a time.

@SeanW - hoping you will address the inconsistencies and contradictions highlighted.

Given you still hold your views after all you have seen and heard over the last couple of years, hopefully these questions will have crossed your mind...

If you are in any way a credible poster - how do you explain that they havent affected your view of whats happening, nor your language toward collapsing Jews worldwide into the crimes of a state they have no say over?

I watched a movie about Joseph Bau last night. I wonder what he would have thought about whats going on at the moment. I believe he worked for Mossad after the war. In any case it's a good movie. I loved the court scene at the end of the film.

    Day 1 in the office

In one of his first acts after being sworn in as New York City mayor, on 2 January, Zohran Mamdani dismantled a slate of executive orders tied to Israel policy that had been imposed by his predecessor, Eric Adams.

The decision was taken on Mamdani’s first day in office, through an executive order that nullified all executive orders signed by Adams on or after 26 September 2024, the date Adams was indicted on federal corruption charges.

At the core of the decision was the repeal of New York City’s adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) antisemitism definition

The IHRA text functions as a policy framework, pairing a definition with examples that guide officials in judging speech, and has been promoted to local authorities by Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs as a means of recasting criticism of Israel as antisemitism and curbing anti-Israeli political expression.

We need an International Nakba Rememberance Alliance.

Mamdani doing this is unwise, given that close advisors to him are on record in calling Jews 'Money Hungry'

Remember all those posts expressing outrage at Hamas yet when it was pointed out that Israel was facilitating the funding of the terrorist organisation we just got tumbleweed?

    I do.

Israel actually asked Qatar to send more cash to Hamas a month before Oct 7th.

Israelis should be apoplectic - was this the price to paid by the 1200 murdered? For Israel to face the charge of Genocide? For it to become a World Pariah?

Well, they should overthrow their murderous Govt. - just like the Pro-Israelis here demanded the Palestinians overthrow Hamas.

QatarGate is growing legs. I'm getting a stronger impression now that Israel knew an attack was likely (Hamas told them) but they realised this was their prime opportunity to level Gaza and tear the backside out the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Yemen.

    Haaretz:
Israel's Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that just a month before Hamas' October 7 attack, Israel asked Qatar to increase the amount of money it transferred to the group.

The report said the request followed Hamas threats of violent escalation and was conveyed to Qatar's envoy to Gaza, Mohammed el-Emadi, on behalf of the Israeli government at a Jerusalem meeting that included the former head of the Shin Bet security service's Southern District, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories and other Israeli representatives.

The report said that a month before the request was made, a senior Qatari official met with Yahya Sinwar, then Hamas' leader in Gaza, to prepare for el-Emadi's meeting with the Israelis. After Qatar's delegation left Gaza, its officials told Israel Hamas sought stability, according to the report. The Prime Minister's Office said last March that the security had found that starting in March of 2022, Hamas diverted $4 million in funding to its military wing.
