some posters on here have shown tracers of drones going from launch sites to their targets . Is there any chance that this technology could be used to ‘show ‘ all and sundry that a number of tracers could be seen ‘making their way’ to one of Putin’s pads. It is of interest how quick Trump jumped to believe Putin. Of course he has history here re believing/trusting Zputin above the US FBI .
Putin has put forward ABSOLUTLY no proof of what he was claiming

America has the best intel in the world.

Trump refuses to listen to it.

Anyone who, at this stage, thinks there is no conniving between Trump and Putin to continue the war Russia began on Ukraine is not simple, confused or bluffed, but is lying and criminal, just not to the same extent as Trump and Putin. Trump runs the risk of having an international war crimes warrant being issued for his arrest, the same as Putin, if he continues giving fraternal cover and legitimacy to Putin. Personally, I'd feel obliged to attend at a protest against Trump's landing here in Ireland due to his disrespect for the rule of law and for the rights of people who don't fit his image of society members.

He says be believes Putin and heard about the attack before he went into his meeting with Zelenskyy. What is not to be said about Trump's character that he would go with Zelenskyy after a group meeting and give a press conference without mentioning that Putin told him Zelenskyy's people has launched a drone attack on Putin's residence a day or two before, that has not been displayed before to his own country, let alone an international audience? Putin chose his puppet well.

Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) criticized President Trump on Monday for appearing to side with Russia in its claims that Ukraine attempted a drone attack on a residence of President Vladimir Putin, accusing Moscow’s leader of frequently lying.

“President Trump and his team should get the facts first before assuming blame. Putin is a well known boldface liar,” Bacon wrote on the social platform X.

The notion could get MM off the horns of a dilemma of making the usual trip to DC with shamrock on March 17. A diplomatic notice to Rubio saying there could be no visit while Trump was accepting the word of Putin, a dictator warring on Ukraine and threatening to war on Europe in general, over that of Europe where it came to war and peace. It might put paid to another Trump ballroom being foisted on the world.

So is it just Putin whom Trump considers untouchable in Russia or are there other people too? And how does this mesh with assassination campaigns that America and its allies have been involved with elsewhere?

It's astonishing that Putin can tell him something down the phone and he not only accepts it, but repeats it almost immediately to the international media. This is plain idiotic stuff (the role of the the CIA and his intelligence services would be to verify or disprove such claims, but it seems Trump doesn't even bother with them).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,852 ✭✭✭Wolf359f

Trump has on many occasions dismissed his own intelligence services:
He disagreed with his own Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Iran's nuclear capabilities.
He dismissed the FBI report over Russian interference in the election and sided with Russia.

Even if the CIA etc… had proof to dismiss the claims, Trump will just ignore it because the trusts Russia more than his own intelligence service. Even if it was completely obvious, he would never backtrack and just shout fake news etc…
This is the moron they elected!

CNN reports the CIA carried out a drone strike inside Venezuela—the first known U.S. strike on Venezuelan soil.

    Mr. No more wars.

Mr. FIFA Man of Peace 2025.

    What a joke.

    He does what he wants.

The US cannot be trusted anymore.

There is naked financial and political corruption.

The current president was found liable for sexual assault and is credibly accused of being a paedophile. His actions clearly demonstrate a will to protect other paedophiles and the Epstein files have not been released in accordance with the law.

    It is a f**king shambles.

A dangerous idiot truly exposes how ridiculous the US Constitution is for vesting such power in one individual, without a proper and robust pushback within its framework.

It merely substituted the word president instead of king.

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

there is ABSOLUTLY NO END to what Trump and Putin are capable of doing or saying or not doing or not saying . We are now WELL INTO the POST TRUTH era - helped / fast forwarded with the use of AI/chatGBT

It was not the meeting as such, it specifically was the way that Trump/ Vance treated VZ during it .
It was a very good ‘meeting’ in that the world had to profoundly RESET its attitude/approach/ opinion/ etc/etc/etc towards dealing with the US/Trump/Vance/and their 100% loyal team of administrators.

The meeting ‘outcome ‘ was a HUGH PLUS for the EU / collision of the willing, etc in thatvTrump said OUT LOUD something that he should have been ‘ whispering ‘ to his inner circle only

If the outburst did not take place , then we could still be wondering where exactly Trump is in all of this

Unfortunately no reporter asked him if he put any credibility to the attack report in that word format.

Yes, Ru breaking the cease fire by using a strategy directly from the Israeli playbook. The ‘ ceasefire is, apparently holding in Gaza except for the ‘ minor matter ‘ that Israel has killed 400+ Hamas fighters in the meantime

Re that apparent drone attack on one of Putin’s pads , The US more that likely know what exactly has happened or DID not happen through it’s international intelligence capabilities via satellite, etc, back channels on the ground in Russia, - official and unofficial, etc, etc, etc.

The US should come out with it’s considered assessment ASAP and make it known to the public at large in case Putin uses the claim to take the SMO in a new and MORE SERIOUS DIRECTION causing a serious escalation

Regretfully disruption of peace in Europe, and of the EU, is more liked by Trumps friend Putin and so it goes for Trump, who has an admiration for "strongmen" and peace through strength of the kind outside that of planned cooperation and union. Truth is again a casualty.

I would not be surprised for news to come out from Russia, be it from a leak or a "reliable source", in the near future that a plot has been uncovered by the F.S.B in Russia of Ukraine and some "traitors" to kill Putin and overthrow his politburo, that some uniformed people will face trial on charges of subversion. The F.S.B will [try to] link it to the recent car-bomb assassination and the killing of the 2 policemen by the suicide bomber.

A propagandist for Russia that is under investigation and has previously lost her work visa for the US, has just bought her visa.

It's a good point that Trump and Vance's public haranguing of Zelensky may well have been a considerable help to him rather than a setback. The scales fell away for western leaders of just how horrendous and unreliable Trump is. It definitely was a major factor in the ongoing reset in relations between 'the West' and the US. Trump's attacks on Canada around the same time would be another element of this.

Imagine being one of the mid-level people in the new-look MAGA FBI/CIA etc. or even the US military right now, say someone who has worked there for a lifetime.

Your head would be melted + you might need the help of a psychiatrist.

I'd speculate droves of them must be heading for the exits now (and we know what kind this admin. will replace them with unfortunately!)

To be honest they knew Trump has been backing Putin since the invasion he blamed Ukraine for starting. Putin tells him his home was attacked and immediately believed him

They will have help from China.

Also there are many potential fifth columns in Euope, e.g. Sweden is full of violent armed African/Islamic gangs setting off bombs and with zero loyalty to Swedes. Putin can tap into these networks and co-opt them if he hasn't already.

Another way of looking at it is Trumps P.O.V: if the previous Admin were kicking her out on the grounds that she was a Russian asset, and we know the Russians only hire the best, we'll bring her back….

Ditto in reverse order: with Trumps expulsion policy and visa policy, a brain drain might start soon, especially of AI wizards being put under Federal Govt thumb with some genius's in the back offices pushing Trump towards Big Govt control of the future of A.I in the U.S.

Putin has several homes and often stays with his mistress and kids at her house, moves about a lot due to fear of drones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭LambshankRedemption

moves about a lot due to fear of drones.

Moves about a lot due to fears he might be assassinated by one of his own lot or another nation state, FYP.

A commentator on RTE news just now said a Russian journalist had rung around people in the area of Putins dacha and no-one they spoke to could corroborate the claim. None heard or saw drones or explosions in the area.

With the added statement from the Kremlin that they didn't have to prove there was a [drone] attack [by Ukraine] as all the drones had been shot down.
