I did not know the capacity of Marley Park and I have no real handle on the current popularity of The Cure. I've underestimated both!

Fully agree but cure played 3 arena last year and marlay next year. They will defo not be playing FF

Apropos of nothing, my favourite Cure song is "A Forest".

My guess of THE Pogues is starting to look slightly more possible 😁

My guesses for the last headliner/ support slots

    The beta band

    The Stunning

    Razorlight

    Toots and the maytals

beta band are too niche, the audience has a lot of middle aged live laugh **** off punters, they don’t listen to the beta band.

Stunning are not big enough for headline, could be a tent headliner though?

    razorlight, certainly the right area.

toots is dead and there was legal trouble over the name of the band after but again not the type of headliner they’d go for.

divine comedy could be a runner, radio friendly, hit heavy, mass appeal and finish their tour in Lyon on 23rd

Sugababes have a single uk date that month and would also work

They'd be doing well to get Toots and the Maytals, considering Toots has sadly passed.

How does the "The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter" fit the blur?

Razorlight too modern for FF. Hopefully.

I'm going to say Simple Minds, Primal Scream or a curve ball - Utah Saints.

Gigs '24 - Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball (Gomez), The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Smashing Pumpkins/Weezer, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Stendhal Festival, Forest Fest, Electric Picnic, Pixies, Ride, Therapy?, Public Service Broadcasting, IDLES, And So I Watch You From Afar

Gigs '25 - Spiritualized, Supergrass, Stendhal Festival, Forest Fest, Queens of the Stone Age, Electric Picnic, Vantastival, Sprints, Getdown Services, And So I Watch You From Afar, The Scratch

Gigs '26 - Deftones, Sleaford Mods, Stereolab, Sugar, Clutch, Big Thief, The Cure, Stendhal Festival, Forest Fest, IDLES, Electric Picnic, Public Service Broadcasting, Korn

I can definitely see Simple Minds doing it. Saw them at Trinity this year and exact same crowd as FF.

Was at Ash last night. They mentioned something about next summer. Can see them playing similar slot as Therapy?

It was some gig - I'd love if this came to pass

They were excellent in the tent at FF a couple of years ago.

Friday main stage openers in the wet weekend of 2023, always good value.

The Chemical Brothers are to big I suspect

but they would be the perfect Saturday night headliners

I was trying to get my van parked up in a field a few miles away, due to the campervan field fiasco of that year and missed Ash, unfortunately.

Ash have played twice, once on big stage in the rain and other midnight slot in the big tent in 24 so they are pretty much regulars.

Chemical Brothers/The Cure are Glastonbury/Isle of Wight type headliners..they won't be doing FF.

Devine Comedy played last year (2024), I just don't see Neil Hannon returning given between each song he was complaining about 'Mr DJ' and the crowd shouting 'sing my lovely horse' at him for 2 hours which he ignored lol.

The Stunning opened the main stage in 24 they won't be Saturday headliner

Why not The Wildhearts? Fits the buzz of Kerbdog from last year.

    Or the Breeders

    Or just The-rapy?
