Trump: "I've announced a permanent pause on third-world migration…I didn't say '**** hole,' you did…We had a meeting and I said, 'Why is it we only take people from **** hole countries. Why can't we have some people from Norway, Sweden, just a few. Let's have a few from Denmark, do you mind sending us a few people'…But we always take people from Somalia, places that are a disaster, filthy, dirty, disgusting."

Such a hateful, racist, piece of sh1t.

For f**king years we said this, on this very "forum, and we had posters parsing words and trying to say he wasn't, as if hiring Pee Wee German wasn't proof enough. I remember one poster taking issue with me calling him racist, saying he wasn't, he was a "white supremacist, as if that made a f**king difference. That's the reason I expected the argument to differ between Paedophile and Ephebophilia when the time came.

I hope all of them are aware of whenever you defend this a-hole, it will always - ALWAYS come out that he is what people say he is. Starting with the bribe to Stormy Daniels, to the access Hollywood tape, to the mocking of the reporter, to the disdain for the military, right the way through his tax fraud, refusing to divest of companies, his sham marriage to Melania, the Russia connection, the extortion call to Ukraine, to the current bribes while in office, the open racism, the cognitive decline. Absolutely all of it.

J just hope the.penny drops at some stage - he made you look like utter, utter fools. There's a reason why you don't post here. You'll say it's because it's an echo chamber or some such bullsh1t. But I think it's because, on some level, you're too embarrassed to. You're tired of being caught out, or frustrated that when you take a defensive position of him, something else will come along (often Trump himself) that will undercut your argument.

That's why all we have left is pretend "centrists", who'll claim to be non committal.

We know the truth and that is you're embarrassed to openly admit that you have hitched your wagon to this pathetic fraudster. Well, you should be.

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

Thank you DOGE and Elon for doing such a fine job.

The National Weather Service is working to hire back hundreds of positions laid off or otherwise cut by the Trump administration, but it’s progressing at a snail’s pace, with about 80 final job offers accepted for meteorologists, hydrologists and other specialized staff.

The agency received permission in late July to add a total of 450 people after about 550 were cut by DOGE earlier this year.

IMO because they would be treated in the exact same way that Trump treats but maybe more subtly eg no longer being invited to all those conferences /meetings, get Trump to tell them they are ‘nasty’ , etc.

Imho Trump is exactly the the obscenely crass sideshow he appears to be, but he is the sideshow, the distraction for what's being engineered behind the cheaply gilded surface. It's people like Theil, Musk, Vance and outfits like Palantir we should be focused on. They're seeding themselves into government and the military.

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/us-army-tech-executives/

Not just in the US either. Musk recently went ape over the EU fining Twitter/X for a lack of transparency and set his fans and bots on the task of decrying the EU and calling it anti free speech and all that guff. Again imho it's little enough to do with X and far more to do with US techbros and their companies and the influence they seek through their tech.

Europe needs to cop on and yesterday. It needs to scale up its homegrown tech, especially military tech. Any nation that signs contracts with these US companies or uses systems like Starlink are setting themselves up for a dangerous level of outside influence and control.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

But will the quality of the various services be compromised be hiring MEGA supporters only or / and individuals that will not ‘speak out’ when it is required . In other words they are guaranteed not to ‘rock the boat’

On the basis of the first pa

everlast, on the basis of the first para of your post I would assume that Ireland would be seen also as a ****hole country also. It must be well known to the international community that Ireland ‘flooded the US with immigrants- especially during the famine era. We also boxed away above our weight in all aspects of American society eg in unions, sport, presidents, senators, workers doing slave work throughout the economy, etc, etc.

One need only also look at all the Irish names in the senate and Congress and some of those industry leaders. So all of the above endeavours, in Trumps eyes is for NAUGHT

He ca’nt have his bread ‘buttered on both sides’. Ho WAIT, but maybe because he is Trump that he can

You should listen to CNN. More people should. They have no problem pointing out his lies and his u-turns.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,238 ✭✭✭Field east

I can see where Trump ‘is coming from’ . One of those descendants, Eileen Higgins, from an immigrant family has just defeated a Trump backed candidate for the Mayor of Miami position. You could not get a more Irish name. And she being a WOMAN at that. He must be furious.

I am not very familiar with the whole way of how fake new, AI, , etc, etc, etc, etc, is processed managed and ‘manufactured but I know enough to question everything that’s ’out there’ including the all edged source.

So re post no 39379- it does not matter if that post is genuine or not , whether it is true or not and whether it is from Trump or not. But it definately serves as a talking point so as to deflect from Ukraine, how the economy is going, Epstein, all those pardons, gislene Maxwell, some of the executive orders ans

D all those other things he does not want the media to be talking about

Yes he's a disgusting, grifting, lying, adultering, stealing, obese human being, but he's he's not wrong on Europe having an immigration problem. Near enough as 25% of your population being foreign born isn't a good thing and if you can't see that then your so blinded by right and left your as bad as that freak Laura Loomer. The plantation was only roughly 125,000 and look at the hassle they've caused/causing.

immigration is becoming an increasing issue and can upset well established communities , way of life , etc, if not managed properly re numbers, integration, etc.

maybe the EU members ghouls examine their current ‘overseas aid programme’ and especially with those countries where most of the immigrants are coming from, establish the reasons why individuals leave them and help countries to address same so that individuals will be less inclined to leave. So focus aid into those kind of strategies

25% of europe is not foreign born ffs, bullshit like this enables trump and his liars

Overseas aid is already focussed on economic and social development in recipient countries so, to the extent that it can reduce migration, it's already oriented towards doing that.

But these aren't really big drivers of migration. The big drivers are

    • the push factors — principally war and climate change
    • the pull factors — need for labour in developed-world countries with low birthrates

Trump is working as hard as he can to intensify the push factors, so it's a bit rich to hear him whingeing about migration.

Completely untrue, the figure currently is just less than 10%. So, did you post what you knew was a lie, or did you just repeat the lie mindlessly? Neither is a good look, tbh.

Looks like an Australian style social media restriction by the EU would ruffle the tech bros a little

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 595 ✭✭✭midlander12

Obviously, as further confirmed by the post below yours.

There is no denying immigration is a problem across Europe and the USA, and there is a wide array of reasons for it.

There is also no denying the response has been inadequate.

Many of us remember watching the australian Border Control program that used to be on TV3 on I think Sunday evenings. Lots of times you would see them interviewing someone and checking did they have somewhere to stay, did they have x amount of dollars in their account or on them, how long were they staying for etc etc. and often times the person didn't meet the requirements and were put on the next plane back to where they came from. Obviously, thats easy for Australia being a landmass in the middle of the pacific, not attached by land (or a short boat trip) to Africa and Asia.

Here in Ireland I do think we need to get stricter on how we handle people arriving.

Going back to Trumps comments, I think Europe as a whole is at much less risk of being over run by immigrants than it is at risk of going to war with Russia.

Correct figure 9.9% which includes people from non EU countries in Europe.

The first post of yours I quoted said " entirely safe". This one says nothing is 100% safe, which is exactly the point I'm trying to make.

So he mentioned he got another cognitive test recently. These were supposed to be part of an annual exam but now he seems to be taking them on a regular basis. His medical team is obviously concerned about something serious.

Trump's comments are just pure racism, plain and simple. A decade ago he lavished praise on neo-Nazis and dismissed all Mexicans as rapists.

We can't have growth without immigration. That's why various crank governments such as that of Rishi Sunak have nothing beyond performative racism and cruelty.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

It should be clearer that this is actually from a parody page.

And a huge proportion are from the common travel area so more a benefit of the EU. In terms of Trump being right, it's a xenophobic and racist rant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 2,904 ✭✭✭aero2k

You've captured the subtleties there. It's never as simple as "here's a disease, here's a vaccine for that disease, vaccines are safe, therefore everyone should be vaccinated." In order to make the best risk/benefit analysis we need reliable information, which we don't always get - e.g. Bourla lying about the Pfizer vaccine being effective against transmission when no testing was done for that. I'm not against vaccines, but I am very much against lies.

Either he is getting them more regularly, which is worrying. Or, he's only had the one but he thinks he's just had it, which is even more worrying. Or, he doesn't really know what a cognitive test is and so anytime a Doctor asks him how he feels he considers that a cognitive test, which is maybe most worrisome.
