Military style analog watch

I'm thinking of going 'retro' and buying a robust watch that will survive the daily rough and tumble of an outdoor life! I'm thinking of a military style watch and I am drawn to CWC or Luminox.

I like an old fashioned watch (not a fan of digital), the watch must have good luminous lime and I wondered if anyone has experience of the CWC or Luminox watches, or indeed any other option.

    Thanks in advance…

I have a CWC (see recent photo in 'post pictures of your watch).

Nice but a bit on the small side. Also have a Hamilton Khaki Field mechanical. My Lorus Field watch gets a lot of wrist time and it's a fraction of the price.

I have a CWC watch. 36mm with fixed springbars, so only natos will work with it. There are quartz and auto versions, mine is the auto. It's a great little watch. Very legible and light and easy to wear. The straps are 18mm which is a bit awkward but not impossible to find.

More luxurious are the Longines Spirit watches or Hamilton. I've tried on both and they fit the bill of a modern field watch. The Hamilton's dial is a bit busy for me.

I love the 'simplicity' of the CWC….
