I have a car that is due NCT but considering that I may sell it, is it a requirement that NCT is in place prior to sale?

Not needed, but makes it easier to sell. Folks be asking why it’s for sale with no, or nearly no test.

Not a legal requirement, but most people want a car with NCT, unless it's priced accordingly

Makes sense I assume it undervalues it to not have NCT

If your confident it would pass the NCT then it will always be worth more selling it with a fresh NCT. If you just want rid of it as is then it will need to be priced accordingly.

Exaclty, depending on what it is you could be knocking €100s off its value for the sake of a €60 test.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.
