    The FM launch is the big one for me. The online is still too hit and miss at the start to be considered canon in the launch for me.

    Over the years I've brought two radios into work and put them on a shelf in the workshop. Last year we bought a bigger one and we set it up in the yard on dry days to have Christmas FM on during Dec.

    I'm home from work today and just realised, I don't think there's a plain old style radio in the house 😄

    Made it back to the car just in time to hear the KO.

    Yep, 7th time in all, first since 2021, now 2 ahead of Andy Williams 'Its the most wonderful time of the year' which has been used 5 times in total. Love hearing one of these two tracks up first!!

    Yeah, Andy Williams had 3 years in a row, 2022-2023-2024, second time that's happened actually, Bing Crosby had it in 2016-2017-2018

    Those 2 are so far ahead of the rest it would take yonks for anyone else to make the top 2.

    Yep, if ever there was a year Christmas was needed it was 2020… its incredible looking back at how we lived through those c.2 years or so from St. Patrick's Day 2020…..

    I've never been one for the parade or going mad on Patrick's Day, but that year was just scary and surreal. Sometimes it seems like a bad dream now.

    It might be an idea to have the name of the presenter on air displayed online. It does display the song being played. Maybe it is only of interest to radio heads, but I think it would be nice to see who is presenting anyway!

    One thing i've noticed when listening in the car, the song information doesn't always catch up with itself or disappears altogether…. the other, and this is tweaking my OCD, is the logo appearing on my dash as rewind hits (the previous temporary licensee using that frequency) but on the main display in the car it appears as the normal Christmas FM logo!!

    A very minor observation, but it bugs me!!!

    Where was Rewind Hits on temporary license? Freedom FM had been on 105.2 FM in Dublin before Christmas FM. I know that Rewind has been replaced by Christmas FM on Fáilte DAB as they are connected and can be chosen from the Christmas FM's website.

    The weekly schedule is on the Christmas FM website although I’ve noticed the odd discrepancy which is probably down to last minute changes.

    I’d imagine the poster is referring to Rewind on DAB which has now been replaced by Christmas FM although I gather when the Sligo FM tx was testing, it carried Rewind.

    Must be thru DAB & not FM so, which makes sense as that the default setting on the car. Either way the inconsistency between the 2 is a minor irritation, and yes I know, first world problems 😁
