They need to keep palace running around and not sit back for 10 minutes

The butcher returns…..should help the ball progression from the back if he can stay fit.

Bruno was put on his feet for the last 10 minutes there and was holding his hamstring. He's going to pick up an injury soon if the manager doesn't start managing his minutes better.

Surprising result. Well done Ruben’s Reds. Two more winnable games to come starting with West Ham at home on Thursday.

    Brilliant win.

Didn’t look like it at half time.

We need that effort we showed in the second half all the time. Forget systems talent etc, where the fook was that vs Everton. Especially the intensity. First half wasn't great today either.

Bruno Zirksee and De Ligt much better second half

    Always had faith.

This is a good result on the back of a really poor first half where Palace could have buried us. It’s what other teams have done to us plenty of times over the past few years.

That's a huge win against an in form team, unbeaten at home since February. Credit to the players for the second half.

Ugly performance but big 3 points! Up to 6th for now, hopefully a few results go our way this afternoon

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m saying. 3 injuries will have a massive impact.

    That bloody Everton result!!!

Good win. Great personality shown in the second half. Not many teams will go to Palace and win. Up to 6th. GGMU

That is a huge 3 points. That second half the players showed a lot more hard work and effort. I think bring Maz on for Yoro helped our defence, especially when bring the ball out. Zirks was excellent in that half and Mount had a much better spell as well.

Why we need to go a goal down before seeing that intensity is still a mystery.

That bloody Everton performance and sheer reluctance to push yourself. Look at Shaw today compared to Everton

Away fans played a big part in that second half.

Much better performance in the second half brings home a huge win v a very tired looking Palace.

They will take more scalps but we march on and superb seeing Martinez back.

    Get in

We'd be in the top 4 right now had we beaten them. I really hope those 3 points lost don't come back to bite us at the end of the season. The table is so congested right now

Great second half, massive 3 points.

it does amaze me sometimes the disparity in how they start matches and match performance as in High intensity v low intensity.

West Ham at home next and then Wolves away. Need to take 6 points from 6 if we're serious about challenging for Champions league places

Only arriving to the thread now.

Amusing catch up. Awful lot busier when we were level or behind, fairly calm since we turned it around.

Not defending the team or the manager by any stretch. Amorim's credit with me ended with that mess on Monday night.

But there's a savage amount of folk around here who revel in the struggles and go quiet when we win.

We should hopefully be in the top 4 by then.

Not sure we'll stay there though.

    Very inconsistent.
