How to value Lego for sale

Hi there My son is clearing out his room and he has quite a lot of Lego he would like to sell. I'm not sure how to go about working out what it might go for. Its a mixture of loose blocks and sets (a couple unopened but mostly all mixed in together!) Any ideas where to start? TIA!!
