hi I was just wondering can anyone advise I have went from a co to eo I was on point 5 co payscale and told am going to point 1 eo payscale I am 7 weeks away from my increment which would have put me at point 2 on the eo scale. They said that this isn’t taken into account just seems unfair as if I’d of got my increment I would have moved to point 2 a lot more of an increase. Is there anything I can do or nothing just go with what NSSO say.

On promotion your put at the closest point of the scale above your current point.

There is a caveat here whereby if the difference in your salary upon promotion would be less than your increment, you go to the next point of the scale. So closest point to salary plus one.

I don't have the relative circular to hand but I believe that it is point 1.4 in the relative circular.
