I watched the videos of the Guards going to the Burke home the other day and was shocked by the number of people supporting him in the comments. I told myself some of them must be trolling, but many/most are real people, although there could also be some bots or dodgy agents. Very similar views to that Facebook post.

It's pretty scary. So many people are blinkered, have such strong bias, ignorant or are just plain stupid in relation to this and also other events.

In general now most media in the big "reputable" media orgs, let's say RTE, the Irish Times and Indo are pretty clear on the facts on all this. At the start they were not, on a few occasions they didn't refer to him verbally attacking the principal at the school events and instead talked about transgenderism for his suspension.

I'm reading "How Fascism Works", there is a throw away line in it how in 2015 Trump just repeated Lock her Up" and "Drain the Swamp" as that is as much as debate/information as a lot of people can handle.

You repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth. The Burkes repeat the same Enoch has been locked up for his beliefs over and over and over, and this is all that certain people hear. They don't have the capacity, will or whatever to question it and look into it any more.

As I say it's kinda frightening to see in many ways.
