    Hi folks,

Hoping to add a tap to this black PVC pipe, the pipe is about half an inch thick.

Anyone able tyo advise on what I would need to make sure the tap I get fits and is watertight.

    Thanks a mill

Bring a small offcut into a builders provider's or even better a plumbing hardware. They'll tell you straight away.

U need an inch to half inch reducer compression fitting. The inch goes on the black (hydrodare) the half inch goes on qualplex which goes on the tap. You may also get a tap that will fit onto the hydrodare. Are you fixing it all to a walll?. If so you could need 90deg connector for the hydrodare.

    Keep us posted.

That looks like heavy gauge. If so, then a 3/4" brass compression fitting will do the job.

Does the pipe have blue of red writing on it?

    I wouldn't recommend this.

You can get purpose made connectors for this pipe.
