Paul Heaton, Boomtown Rats and Waterboys have been rumoured.

Texas and Supergrass were rumoured last year so possibles for 2026 just like Travis this year.

They played a tremendous set which finished at 1am in the pissing rain and mud in front of dwindling crowd.

Would love to see them again in better surroundings and James who faced similar issues that year.

the proclaimers are doing the rounds of festivals next year, they might make a return

The social media also used brewing up a storm as a song on one of the recent posts, so the stunning might be there

I was front and center for both. James were incredible in their set. Such energy

If they're the headliners for next year they wouldnt blow me away vs this year imo, I think a band like Madness would suit FF

Or The Selecter doing the Bad Manners slot maybe.

Announced Big news Brewing this week, could confirm the Stunning are playing or just the new location?

it’s a lineup announcement with an announcement event taking place in Dublin Thursday night

Saw Doctors announcing 4 summer shows tomorrow, could have been a good shout for FF but if no announcement is due till Thursday probably rules them out.

James have just been announced for the Galway Arts Festival, gig the day before Forest Fest.......Would they do two Irish dates??

  • Subscribers, Paid Member Posts: 44,928 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

They are doing two Irish dates, Galway and Killarney.

The question is will they do three??

They would go down well with the camping chair crowd.

    Forest Fest News.JPEG

I just can't decide if I'm gonna go to both this & ATN again this year. Two consecutive weeks @ 4 days each one is tough going, but I'm still looking forward to the lineup and let's see then.

Kind of miss the mid-2010s where James dropped Sit Down from their sets entirely. Not even Michael Eavis could get them to play it in 2016. See they've re-released the original 1989 version for the new Best of comp.

I know I said I wouldn't go until they sort out the chair people but if either of Neds or PWEI play, I'm there and I will be crowd surfing. Deckchair fiends and arthritis be damned.

Think someone said earlier in the thread that the launch event was Thursday night.

Line up looks great to me, a lot of bands where I will know 4 or 5 songs each and that'll do before moving onto the next arena/tent 😁

Moving to Bee's Wing Farm too, not sure of the exact location but assuming much bigger area

That's a good starter for me.

That's a pretty decent lineup, never seen the Charlatans and would love to but they're not enough to attract me back to Laois next summer.

    Bees wing farm??

Sounds like one of the fields within the village confines. Not emo court anyway

There's six bands on there that I want to see but only one that I haven't seen before (Ned's).

They'll do well to get Evan Dando out to Laois and back again in one piece.

Black Grape could be fun. I remember seeing them in Cork Feile about 30 years ago. I like them at the time. Don't know what they would be like now, but would be nostalgic anyway.

Fratellis should have been locked up for bringing that Chelsea Dagger on us.

Absolutely love The Charlatans, but the rest of the line up would be a hard sell to the better half tbh. Although Deacon Blue were good supporting Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott in St Annes a few years ago. Find it hard to enjoy Black Grape/ Happy Mondays after too many stories of SR being a nob to other band members.
