Trump is as close to pure evil as its possible to get. He cares not one jot for another living being. He matters and thats it. Everyone is just temporarily useful or in his way. Including his own family.

looks like Trump didn’t sign the Epstein bill. I reckon he won’t sign it and try to create a distraction over the weekend.

I'm genuinely convinced that he's an actual sociopath. His actions matter, only when they impact himself, they mean nothing otherwise. He cares for nothing or no one. He has no forethought on the consequences of what he says or does. He has absolutely zero loyalty to anyone or anything and everything is just an object for his use.

    He's a textbook case.

Of course he's a sociopath. He was raised by one as a father and in the businesses he was in you don't get rich if you're not at least somewhat sociopathic.

Echoes of totalitarian regimes. In the 1990s, Chinese unemployment was officially 0%. Nowadays even they publish a figure but its only in urban areas (5.2%) and one third of the population live in rural areas.

Hes beyond a sociopath. He would gladly let hundreds of thousands of men, women and child die if it meant he either profited financially or was legally protected from a situation he created for himself. Even psychopaths tend to have some connections to people or animals. This pos has nothing.

    New revelations.

Comey prosecution hanging by a thread as DOJ admits the Grand Jury were not shown all the charges, and in some cases only 2 were shown them.

Also, the AG Bondi was just asked if they will release the Epstein files. She dodged the question. WH not saying if Trump will sign the bill.

He gladly let nearly half a million Americans die. Stuff like closing down the early warning centre in China also affected non-Americans.

461,000 fewer Americans would have died in 2018 if the United States’ death rate had been equivalent to those of the other G-7 nations. … the rollback of at least 84 separate environmental and workplace protections) significantly worsened pollution, resulting in more than 22,000 extra deaths in 2019 alone.

BiBi has killed and continues to kill proportionally more in a much smaller population. There's only a trickle of aid trucks.

CNN said WH laying the group to restrict who will get to see whats in the files. Trump still hasnt signed the bill.

Imagine if he vetoed it. Would Congress over-ride the veto? They only passed it after he accepted the inevitable that it was going to pass, but reluctant members would have been swayed by his permission. A two thirds majority is needed to override a Presidential veto.

The bill includes a 30 day deadline for release.

Halligan brought in a second indictment to the grand jury after the first one failed. Denied to the judge yesterday that the grand jury indictment that Comey is being charged under is that second indictment but today admitted it was. Problem for her is that when she got back to the grand jury room with that second one all the grand jury bar one plus the foreman had gone home and never got to see it, but she got the foreman to sign off on it. Not only that, but it appears she was lying about the second one because it was also outside of the 5 year statute of limitation.

It is turning into a farce. The judge also questioned her co counsel, Lemon, on a memo that has been reported in the media that all senior prosecuting counsel refused to charge Comey because there was no evidence to charge him. After trying to dodge that he knew nothing about it, finally admitted that Pam Bondi`s instructions were more or less to pretend they knew nothing about it.

I really think the answer for Democrats is not the Newsoms or Pritzkers, people with major name recognition as party favourites in liberal strongholds. Bill Clinton, a man from the famously liberal economic power-house known as "Arkansas" wasn't exactly a major household name when he beat Bush. In fact, part of the reason he ran and won was that few 'establishment' Democrats of the time thought that Bush could be beaten. The Whitmers and Shapiros have merit on their own grounds, even before being likely to secure a swing state. (Does California or Illinois really need securing?). Roy Cooper's running for senate next year since he termed out as Governor, anyone have a reason why he wouldn't have a chance at securing some swingable states?

Yet the population figures are such that California managed to lose a congressional seat after the last census. My family was one of those who contributed to that loss. California has much to recommend it. There's a reason I lived there for 20 years and still own a house there. There's also a reason we chose to leave. Politics wasn't actually a direct requirement, when selecting a new state we didn't care if it was red or blue. It happened that the state which suited us best was red.

Whether you believe it warranted or not, California policies are not universally popular in the US. Bumper stickers saying "Don't California my Idaho" (A surprisingly popular destination for CA-leavers) exist. At the Texas state line, when I drove past, there was a big billboard saying "Welcome to Texas. Don't vote for what you just fled." California is, and has been for some time, the prime selling point for Republicans. If Shapiro's policies were 100% identical to that of Newsom, he'd still do better simply because he isn't tainted as a Californian. It's a liability in national elections, rational or otherwise. It may be one that Newsom can overcome (He has a few liabilities), but a liability it is nevertheless.

Democrats tried a Californian in 2024. It didn't work out well. There are 49 other States, 46 which aren't Illinois, New York or Massachusetts.

Cooper would make an excellent candidate, he's been a very effective Governor, having to deal with an astounding corrupt Republican state assembly. I think Whitmer would be another strong candidate, she's a very effective Govenor.

The redaction will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen, the best ever, more than any other document.

Reports the deal he's trying to push on Ukraine includes giving up all of Donbass, and putting contested areas under Russian sovereignty.

CNN reporting the deal would require Ukraine to substantially cut the size of their military, to end their long range missile capability, and agree there would be no European forces in Ukraine.

Why does he keep sending Witkoff? The person who said "the war was provoked, not necessarily by Russia?".

Trump, in a completely normal and not at all crazy spiraling way, announces that he has signed the bill.

Even for him, this post is absolutely mental.

Might be an appropriate moment to take a step back and understand where we are right now. This is a sitting president of the United States, posting a stream of unhinged rage. And here we all are, not surprised or shocked.

I guess I just wanted us to take stock of the fact that we are all accompanying him in his slow descent into utter madness.

The consistent mention of Biden is wild. He is really nervous about these files, it’s the one he can’t get ahead of, or control.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,119 ✭✭✭Ozymandius2011

There are possible loopholes in the bill, like allowing information not to be released if its part of an investigation. A few days ago AG Bondi announced a new Epstein related investigation, after Trump demanded investigations of Democrats tied to Epstein, and a Morgan Bank.

However, Rep Thomas Massey (R-Kentucky), who has been out of favour with Trump for a long time, thinks that this exception is very narrow. CNN not so sure.

So it seems that the indictment the grand jury sent forward in the Comey case was only seen by two members. There are claims this will collapse the case.

Trump will no doubt look to play with the release of the files, but ss we have seen to date despite everything he has tried this isn't going away.

Almost everything he has done to date since winning re election has been wrong and only ended up making the matter worse.

His political antena, usually so tuned in, has been noticeably off on this issue. And one can only summise that the he is so against release since seeing what is actually in the files that it has thrown his political instincts in the bin.

He called for release during the election because at that point he didn't know what was in them. Since taking power, Bonding and Patel have let him know and he is scared. Something seriously damaging is in them.

His latest tweet shows he knows exactly. If he knows Clinton was on the plane 28 times then its clear he knows what is 8n the files and all of the last 9 months has been a cover up.

What the media, and dems, need to do now is start to tear it all down. Start with Patel and Bondi. Why did they both close the investigation in July but now reopen it? Bondi claimed new information. So people had withheld evidence before? Had all the required evidence not been checked? It seems like a massive screw up to me that it went from.nothing to see here in July to opening multiple investigations in November.

They should both be hammered over that and ultimately forced to resign. No way either of them can stay in their jobs.

Use that to ramp up the pressure on Trump. He is clearly floundering and panicked over this so keep up the pressure

"Why did they both close the investigation in July but now reopen it?"

Because the "new information" they have is "Trump says to re-open the investigation in order to try to redact/hide whatever information might hurt Trump or his friends".

That's it. That's all it is. It's neither subtle nor clever. It's as blatant, brazen and obvious as just saying it outright. Bondi and the rest simply do not care. Didn't even try to plan out some answer to the question she would obviously be asked.

Bondi made a reference to new “information,” but she did not specifically say what this information is when asked “what changed.”

“Information that has come forward — information. There’s information that — new information, additional information and, again, we will continue to follow the law to investigate any leads. If there are any victims, we encourage all victims to come forward and we will continue to provide maximum transparency under the law,” she said.

Really? This "new information" just happened to come to light exactly as the House & Senate are voting to release the files? Really?

Hilarious to see Biden living rent free in the buffoon's head. The walls are closing in, and for the 1st time in his spoilt life, he's lost control of the narrative.

Exactly! People tend to search for some complex conspiracies, 4D chess moves and so on from their so called "leaders". Trump has an attention span of a gold fish, his only long term memory is filled with vindictiveness. He does not plan, he reacts. When something goes wrong, he lies and bullies. There is no complicated plan.

While I agree with much of your post, who is going to make them resign? No-one, unless Trump needs someone to throw to the wolves. All they have to do is brazen it out. Its likely that Trump's decisions and actions will become more and more irrational - if that is possible - as the walls close in, but legalities are not going to bother any of them.

Having voted through the bill to release the Epstein files without oversight by the Senate, the house went on to also defy the Senate and the WH in voting unanimously to remove a provision in a bill which would have allowed those who had their phones investigated by Jack Smith to sue for up to $500,000.

Not sure what is going on!

The really big deal appears to be that the Senate approved the bill very quickly, without giving time for the amendments that Trump and Johnson thought they were going to be able to make - redactions and delays to the bill. Chuck Schumer asked the Senate for Unanimous Consent before the bill even reached the Senate, meaning it didn't need a vote and just was passed as soon as it arrived in the Senate, frustrating the anticipated amendments that would have helped Trump.

    249 for a bottle of Trump cologne…

Trump sprays Syrian president with cologne before asking him how many wives he has

Donald Trump sprayed the Syrian president with his “best” cologne before making a joke about his wife.

This week, Ahmed al-Sharaa became the first Syrian leader to visit the White House since the country's independence in 1946.

During their meeting on Monday (11 November), the US president took a bottle of his own cologne - which costs $249 - and spritzed Mr al-Sharaa with it. “This is men’s fragrance”, Trump told him.

He then asked Mr al-Sharaa how many wives he has. After the Syrian leader, a former Al Qaeda militant, confirmed it was one, Trump chuckled as he said: “With you guys, I never know!”

It's the random capitalisation of words for me. All phones have autocorrect these days so I don't know how he manages it. How is there nobody that says to him 'hey man, I think you might wanna read that back before you post it'
