You need to know what you are buying but I have noticed a few decent bargains on Amazon Resale. None as good as yours but I have found some good deals worth around 50% recently.

That said none of them attracted any additional discount.

The stated condition of the items seems to be totally arbitrary. Bought two identical tool boxes on Amazon Resale one was stated as good condition the other was acceptable. Both were identical without a mark on them. What I found amusing was Amazon Resale packed them better than they would have been sent out originally (its a tool box I use a lot of).

new, current generation Amazon Fire HD 8 is reduced to £40 - lowest price, but for some reason won't ship to ireland. (and it doesn't seem to be on .ie site)

probably a mistake, so for anyone interested it may be worth getting on to chat with CS agents…..fire hd 10 will ship to ireland

100% - the condition advertised is often so loose that you're better off buying "Acceptable" if there's no specific details - e.g holes larger than 3cm on item - as more often, it's a dinged box. I've had to return stuff advertised as "Like New" like Vinyl's as they had holes in the record liner.

Got a replacement grate for stove - normally sold for £50 for £9 as was "Acceptable - minor cosmetic imperfection on item". Lads, it's a grate for a stove. It's going to have a lot more than that after 20 minutes in a fire! 😀

Great price on the turbo trainer - away to waste an hour trying to find a similar one at that kinda price !!! :-) 😀

The ridiculous thing was that I have bought these toolboxes brand new from Amazon previously and they come in a thin plastic bag with no other packing. The Amazon Resale ones came in a carboard box sealed inside another cardboard box - go figure?

However I have been completely ripped off by Amazon Resale (or rather another Customer) when someone had swapped the contents of the original box before returning it. No problem full refund.

absolutely none of the 10 things in my basket has reduced at all in price this morning. Most were on ‘early’ deals already but still you would think this is just teaching people more and more that Amazon deal days are pointless

hasn’t that been the way for a good few years now ?

absolutely but the constant ads for getting your basket ready must be slowly covering anyone in population that didn’t already know it year by year!

i was a big user of CamelCamelCamel for checking on Amazon bargins but it seems like some sellers are creating new pages with high price and then lowering for sales so CamelCamelCamel isnt useful here.

What does other people here use for tracking prices?

Seems to be an issue affecting Irish customers using Amazon UK. Many deals not available or only giving a 'Used' option when buying. The same deals are (by and large) available on Amazon IE and can be bought new.

Had to get an emergency Prime trial on Amazon IE to check out on a few bits I wanted that I was unable to buy on Amazon UK, despite having had them in my basket and purchasable for weeks.

I to be fair. I had five items in the basket and all five were reduced. Now have to wait an dsee if they arrive.

Finally found a brand name Amazon Resale item with an extra 20% off. Just tried at least 10 DeWalt items on Resale and one had an extra 20% off. This bare unit hammer drill if anyone is interested

I bought a game controller recently no manual no original packaging as the description.

One of the buttons also doesn't work, cs let me keep it and gave me the money back.

I like "resale", it's almost always worth a shot, and amazon usually aren't that bad of a hassle if it does go bad.

I bought two sets of headphones over the last two weeks and was looking to see if they dropped in price with a view to return and repurchase cheaper. they are the exact same price but now some out of stock.

It’s a piss take these days

Just be aware that's not a smart trainer, so you can't connect it to Zwift or any of the other apps - you have to change the resistance manually

Do the black friday deals change per day on Amazon? As in if earbuds or a kindle are a certain price reduced today, could they potentially be more reduced towards the end of the sale?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47,294 ✭✭✭✭muffler

AFAIK if the item is sold (or possibly fulfilled) by Amazon then they will refund the difference.

Bought one of these wireless thermometers in the Summer prime day, have been tracking the price and discount seems genuine, couple of euro cheaper than what I paid in the summer.

Buying it as a present for secret santa, have had great use of mine, particularly steaks, may be useful for anyone cooking a turkey this Christmas too.

Inkbird seems to be a decent brand. I have a couple of their thermostatic switches and they have been accurate and reliable.

Was €957 last week, now down to €907.

Do ye think we should we go into Amazon site using incognito mode? I'm sure it's tracking us checking prices similar to what the airlines do.
