That's a very big loss for Ireland, but you can see why the World Bank would want someone who's overseen one of the best performing economies on earth.

Well if the rumours are to be believed it looks like Harris (yes that Harris) will go to Finance and McEntee to Foreign Affairs. The only good news there is that McEntee will be gone from education so our kids might be saved.

So the lad who signed off on the most expensive hospital in history is rumoured to be the next Finance Minister?

That really inspires confidence going forward.

That hospital will serve the children of this country for decades.
Even if it does go over budget, the extra funding pales into insignificance when compared to the billions we are spending on the IPA industry and foreign aid every year. I would rather see our tax monies being spent on the healthcare of our own kids instead of throwing billions around to other countries like snuff at a wake.

Sf never turned their back on anyone in regards to immigration. It's just the knuckle draggers thought they were racists because they waved national flags around like the "patriots" heros in England.

Every voter in this country decides legitimately who they want in the Dáil and in a climate pardon the subtle pun where FF cooperates with FG,it’s not surprising or shouldn’t be that their gene pools eventually follow suit

I have no doubt that when this government was being put together,its planners were well aware that Paschal might be leaving and built their alliances accordingly

On this forum and others from 2020 to 2024,the audience was treated to a tremendous amount of shoite about who the next government would be,mostly from people with agenda’s and/or who ignored that people vote with their pockets and for a steady hand not a risky one at crunch time not un fundable populism

I fully agree. However holding contractors to account should be a priority for anyone who is considering infrastructural builds. We have seen none of that under Harris, Donohue or anyone in FG to date.

Ah will ya stop, of course we need to build the infrastructure but not at any price. We don't need to be paying over and above what it should cost because of poor planing and incompetence. Just a ridiculous attitude to how public money is spent
