Rory just about got the birdie on the par 3 11th. Having got the read off Neergaard-Petersen's birdie putt, Rory's putt barely lipped in on the right hand side. Any more pace and it would have stayed out. Rory now 2 clear.

Rory makes bogey on 12. It was his first since the 4th hole yesterday. It comes at a crucial stage and puts him back in a tie for the lead(with Canter).

Rory missed another very make-able birdie on 13. His drive on the par 5 14 has found the rough, so he won't make the green in 2.

Lowry ends his tournament with a long eagle putt on 18 to finish on -13.

I'm loving this tournament again this year and last week at Yas Links as well.

Rory is making a bit of a mess of his chances. No birdie on the par 5 14th. And he would have gotten the read as Neergaard-Petersen sank his eagle putt.

With Rory it's the hope that kills ya...

Inches from unreal drive on 16

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 2,792 ✭✭✭DBK1

Nothing going right for him at the minute, seems to have the head down a bit now too.

FFS Rory. It's infuriating watching him at the moment. He's found the bunker off the tee on 16. It was inches away from being perfect. But almost everything is off right now. His driving and putting.

If it was a foot or 2 longer it was a perfect drive, just not happening for him.

They're all messing up at the run in. Poor tee shots and bad read of putts.

I'm still trying to comprehend what he was trying with that shot.

It's going to be a very tough up and down for Rory.

Not great with the chip, likely to make bogey.

Aberg in the clubhouse at -17 so pars are no good now for Rory. He’ll be lucky to escape with bogey on 16

Fleetwood with an eagle chance on 18 but it's an almost definite birdie.

Bogey it is for Rory on 16. I'd say he's in trouble to win the tournament, but he has the Race to Dubai secured.

Ooof lipout on 17 for birdie.

Matt went with 3 wood on 18 and seems further back than expected

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,731 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Aww f###! That birdie putt was so close to going in for Rory.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,731 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Neergaard-Petersen does have a good chance to maybe win this yet. Certainly to join the others on -17. He's -4 over the last 4 holes or so, while Rory is +1.

Fitzpatrick with a putt to get to 18 under.

Looks like Fitzy now unless Mcilroy can land an eagle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,731 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Fitzpatrick got a big break for his 3rd shot.

NNeeds eagle so, the range is clearing

This lad doesn't help the blood pressure!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,731 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Rory will get a read for his eagle putt from Neergaard-Petersen. But he's had plenty of those today already, and not taken advantage of any of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,438 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

    Hes some man

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 3,113 ✭✭✭Dr Turk Turkelton

He does like a good eagle on 18 to tie the lead!

What a finish! Neergaard unlucky. Rory is pure box office!
