Sad to hear that news, he had hope to get things done when he was on with BOC, but he didn't get long in the end

Very sad to hear this. I saw him just over 2 months ago at the Sneem Festival, I went to one of his talks. He was in fine form and spoke for nearly 2 hours. I was shocked to hear him only a few weeks later talking to Brendan. It seems suddenly he was going downhill. Very sad to hear he got so little time to finish some of the projects he wanted to do. RIP Machan.

    Genuinely sad to hear this.

Always came across as a sound guy who was interested in the people and world around him.

IDF aren't here to defend themselves..... or are they?

Drones and AI are the enemy of the holiday making RTE presenter.

    Baz.... mutual RTE reach around....

That Ingle mother and daughter combo are so "Irish Times" it's frightening.

Nice for them to get a fortnightly slot on the show 🙄

He spent more time talking about his drama coming on Virgin Media, in fairness.

I'm not in Ireland so I'm not sure what level of fame this Bressie has but feck me, he seems to be the go to guy for RTE when they need to fill time and avoid anything important. RTE friends club 24 hours a day.

His level of fame is low.

His level is annoyingness is high

Looking forward to the talking heads trying to shape the narrative this morning. Spoiled voters being inconsequential knuckle draggers and so on.

They seem to have forgotten that Spoiled Votes are from people who took the time and effort to bother voting. Yet they say nothing about those who did not bother to vote.

At the end of the day the people who came out and actually voted put CC in the Park

The spoilers and abstainers will have to do a lot more than express outrage every seven years.

What is it with this Allison O Connor wan? She wants us to think she's an authority on everything in Ireland, RTE has her on everything going and she loves lecturing all and sundry on what we're doing right/wrong, the church, politics and God forbid sex and dhrink. She must have an awful obedient husband/wife/thing or whatever and if she has offspring I do hope someone is checking up on things now and again so that we can all be told what perfectionism involves. On her preferred subject-Politics? I'd love her to run for office and see how she enjoys people like herself telling her when she's right and wrong and what she should really be doing in office, her spare time and her love life. Go on Allison, make our day

The smugness of that smirk would be a really vote winner at all the right dinner parties.

Heard part of the Clodagh McKenna interview yesterday. I'm guessing there's a cookbook being promoted.

    Yes, this is it.

Great interview with herself and husband.

All the new books being promoted for the Christmas market provide a steady supply of interviewees.

Colm Toibin, interesting as always, chatting with BOC today.

Must be great to have the National Broadcaster at your disposal to pimp your creations.

Brendan having a conniption when Anton savages name is mentioned 🙂

This show is more conniptions than anything else these days. Everything has to be clarified to death - tying themselves in political correctness knots does not make good listening.

Tuned in for the first time in months this morning. Odious is not a word I've ever actually used, but it's the first word that came to mind when I heard Sarah Carey.

Maddening air-headed dinner table conversations by a crew far removed from the daily struggles of the ordinary citizens moderated by a chap who's afraid of his life to step over some imaginary conversational boundary....but but but we must have an honest conversation 😆

Sarah Carey is the biggest windbag.

She has no business being given a tax-payer funded platform to pontificate given her history.

The Communications Clinic were quick to follow up this morning.

Another collection of individuals who have been allowed have undue (toxic) influence on public discourse.
