There's alot in the application process for a temporary CO isn't there , took me ages going through the application process

Yeah but I guess they need something to create an OOM to sequence people from. Seems a bit arbitrary

This might be a longshot but, I went to apply for this and the freaking publicjobs site seems broken. It says they are "transitioning to a new recruitment platform". I can't login without getting an error screen and it takes me multiple refreshes to get to a normal page, and I'm still not logged in after all that. I'm just wondering if this is a "me issue" or an "everyone issue".

You have to make a new account on the site, your existing profile doesn't carry over

Thanks. I was able to figure that out after a lot of trial and error. The bigger problem was that I kept getting an error screen whenever the page loaded to a new one. Took forever to register

Yeah, I've been having issues too. They seem to have two different log in areas at the moments and only the newer one displays my current applications, but the new log in page giving me issues.

In theory to log in you need to go to this Public Jobs log in page:
    https://publicjobs.ie/en/login

Then put in the vacancy ID of the job you are applying to, so for this role it would be 325.

However, when you do that, it brings you to a "Configuration Mode" log in, and you (or at least my) credentials do not work here.

But if I remove the "-config" part of the URL, then I am able to log in without issue and access my applications.

Here is the link I use:
    https://publicjobs.tal.net/vx/lang-en-GB/mobile-0/appcentre-1/brand-4/xf-423dd989250d/candidate/login

Does anyone know when they are likely to advertise for permanent CO campaign? I'm just unsure I can commit to the TCO

The current CO panel is due to expire December 12th, but the EO panel was expanded 3 months and there's a chance the CO panel is too. But time is running out to do that.

A TCO job isn't really a commitment, if you get a permanent job while on a temporary contract nobody would judge you for taking it.

Apologies, I should have been more specific. I wouldn't be able to commit to the uncertainty in a TCO position which is why I would prefer to wait to see if there is an upcoming permanent competition.

Hi guys, in relation to the Education history upload and qualification upload section in the application, what did people put in here? Can you upload your CV with the education history? Thank you 😊

Here we go again… Found it hard to choose the location this year. My home county is always very quiet, Dublin has the vacancies, but is a long commute five days a week. Good luck everyone!

Hi All, does anyone know when we should here back from public jobs on results? Is it usually a few days or weeks after?

The last TCO I applied for which was 2025B in Limerick . it was about 4 weeks after when I got a score which placed me in either the 1st , 2nd or 3rd third . The maximum score was 800 with the qualifying score to get into the bottom third 295 or above .
556 and above was top third

    483-555 was second third

295-482 was the third and bottom third

All below 295 didn’t meet qualifying level . That was sept 19th this year , heard nothing since . My previous TCO took sbout 10 months from application to starting job

    Good Afternoon All

Just wondering does anyone know when the results will issue for the Temporary Clerical Officer 2026 as they are normally issued very quickly after closing date I thought we would have heard by now anyone else know or contact Public Jobs to see and if so has anyone an email address please to enquire

They pushed the closing date to the 18th, so I'd expect it to be another two weeks before we hear

    Good Afternoon All

Just a quick update I emailed them to enquire and had a reply that it is anticipated that the results from stage 1 will issue in early December 2026 with next stage likely be January 2026 just thought I would pass on to you all

Sorry all my mistake that should read

that it is anticipated that the results from stage 1 will issue in early December 2025 with next stage likely be January 2026 just thought I would pass on to you all

Closing date was 16th of Nov last year and OOMs were out on 10th of Dec.

    Reckon 8th of Dec

do you reckon they are going through application forms at this early stage? Is that stage one or are they referring to exams

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,762 ✭✭✭Quitelife

I’d think your answers to the questions in the application process would be where they get your score from . I’d expect we’ll be getting our score in the coming week or so which will dictate where you are on the list . They interview those at the top first when they need TCOs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 120 ✭✭jecca1

Stage 1 results are out. They went to my junk mail folder, so please check there too.

What is seen as a good score or OOM for your county?

It depends on your county. 100 is amazing in Dublin and worrying in Leitrim.

My score was the exact same as last year but OOM is a good bit further back. Should still be called but I wonder does that mean more applied this year
