    If cows are rubbing on it then it might be best to avoid tec screws. Cup head bolts could work but if there’s cows putting pressure on the other side you could make up a plate where the nut is counter sunk into it avoiding sharp edges sticking out.

    I've just done this myself. I use rivets now & drilled stok & gates. Used jubile clip too on awkward parts like around the handle.

    I had Tek screws on another gate before but the cows scratching their arse against it wore some & broke them so replaced with rivets & no issue now
